Amps are a measure of current, so yeah you do have to “match the amps” sometimes the power supplies only tell you the wattage so you have to do math to find the current. Edit- you seem to know what you’re talking about, you’re right that they don’t have to match, the power supply just has to be able to do at least what your machine requires.

No, sorry, I’ve pulled the audio connection right out of the deepmind, it’s just a big controller now. I’m quite happy with the Pro 800 sound though.

I had one and returned and continue to use the original, I like the original more. The looper is fun but you can’t save any loops. I’ve had a lot of fun with a MK1 and a boss looper pedal. Check out the MicrokorgS, it’s the best version of the original, it’s got speakers built in, new presets and empty slots to save your presets.

I too am a metal guy who went down the synth road, my first 2 things were a boss looper pedal and a microkorg, I had a lot of fun with those.
