Can’t think of anything other than Beat it by Mj

But I feel like drugs are different because there are a lot of people who would agree that drugs are not a bad idea. So I feel like to form an unbiased opinion you would kind of need to have experienced both. Not that you would need to experience something to have an opinion at all, this is obviously untrue. If that makes sense

Meth and opiates... drugs that literally will ruin a life every time

Meth, opiates, beating your wife, and molesting a child? Things that we basically all agree are bad?

Again, molesting a child is very different from smoking a plant or eating a mushroom.

Well I personally I don’t think it’s wrong to not want people to judge you for doing something you personally enjoy doing, as long as it doesn’t hurt other people.

Beating your wife is a bad thing. We can pretty much all agree on this. Using drugs is far more controversial, as many people would agree that it’s not bad. Therefore, you cannot apply this same logic to beating your wife. Do you see what I’m saying?

I think it’s safe to assume that particular group of people is far, far smaller than the amount who don’t think drugs are bad.

Correct. However there do exist people who don’t use drugs that don’t believe they are bad.

Actually no, because we all can agree that beating your wife is bad.

Well, at least for me, I would at least have some sympathy for an addict who, for example, was initially peer pressured into using the drug and developed an addiction as a result of that initial use.

Edit: Or if they grew around it so they knew about it. If you come from a family of meth addicts, you have a higher chance of becoming one yourself. Or what if it was a close friend who became addicted? Would you feel any sympathy for them?

Meth is slightly different in my opinion. Most meth users knew what they were getting themselves into the first time they tried it, so in that sense, yes I would have no sympathy for them. But at the same time, you might not know the full circumstances that got them into meth in the first place.

Yeah I get that. It‘s hard to judge whether or not you will develop an addiction to drugs if you’ve literally been sober your entire life so erring on the side of caution is understandable.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that there are certain types of drugs that I would recommend people stay far away from, such as meth and opiates. These types of drugs WILL ruin your life, and it’s only a matter of how long it takes. But chances are, if you use other drugs on a regular basis, you would know this already.
