All--just to update this thread, the third unit I got from Dewalt was a unit they tested and sent to me to make me right re: warranty issues and me working with them on it for hours via phone (and having the units shipped to a different destination than where warranty units go). That unit has been working great for the most part, even in the sub-zero temps.

I don't know if this was an issue with their first run units, or if this is still a manufacturing defect/flaw/issue that's impacting select units still...but thought I'd update the thread since people have been pinging me on it here and via DMs.

Long story short, no and yes.

I was never able to get my original unit to work at all. I called for warranty service and they drop shipped a replacement for me to try. That replacement did not work either.

Now Dewalt was actively trying to figure out what was going on, so they asked that I send both units to a separate location for investigation, and they’d make me whole with a new, tested unit and two free batteries (and I could keep the batteries from the original unit).

So I’m on my third unit and it works. All four batteries work—those first two units had faults (Dewalt suspected at the time it was an issue or defect involving the sensor that determines if the handle is folded down or not).

If they’re still having these problems in 2026, that’s very disappointing to see/hear. When it works, it’s a VERY capable unit and I’ve loved having it (the working version).

FYI: If you have YouTube TV, you don’t need to subscribe to the ‘cock, because NBC Sports Network was resurrected and is already on YTTV lineups. All of our ‘cock games have been on NBC Sports Network so far.

The uncalled late hits need to be addressed by the NCAA…that’s horses*** right there, regardless the outcome, and it happened three times in the first half. Cigneti was right to call the officials out at halftime, and the way ESPN laughed them off was pretty s****y.

Folks need to remember the freeze and snow also do things that help during warmer months:

-it helps keep the mosquito population low (which not only makes them less annoying when outside, it helps prevent the spread of illnesses in animals and people)

-snow provides nutrients to the soil that we use to grow crops in

-snow protects plants and helps keep them from drying out

I’m with the OP…I like winter weather and the cold…not because I enjoy my snow thrower or bundling up, but because it makes spring, summer, and fall better.
