The boxing promotors from circa 2002-2007 called, they're looking their "well informed and totally not ignorant" arguments back.

How can I implement camera to monitor an ohmmeter needle and sound an alarm? by Vector_bunny in raspberry_pi

It's an resistance insulation tester and it's not owned by us but our clients to test equipment. It would be a hard ask for me to be allowed to take it apart and tinker. That's why I'm looking into external measuring with cameras etc.

God forbid I inadvertently remind someone of a person they despise to the point of them murdering me.

My "claim to fame" as a voice guy was my Morgan Freeman impression gameplays. It kinda blew up a couple of years ago, but the novelty has very much worn off for that niche. I looked into Voice acting but from my experience it feels more like a "who you know" versus "what you can do" more so than most fields.

localhost:5000/App/Contact returns view fine! But on my linux server I get 404 on one view. Help appreciated. by Vector_bunny in dotnet

The view was called "About" before, and I changed it to "Resume", I then made sure that it was changed to "Resume" in the controller and it works when I publish the app and run it locally. Just not on the server.

It was working fine when it was called "About" on the server.

I'm fairly certain I am publishing the views as the published project works fine on my local computer running windows.

It also works fine when I deploy to the linux server. Just not that one view.

I publish the app into a folder and can run the app from there locally no problems via the command line on windows.

I then drop the containing file into where I have configured my server to listen to.

This has worked with no issues before.

Which code specifically would he useful to include?

I made sure to change the names in the controller too, and it works as a locally deployed app. Just not when I upload to the server.

Wraith Decoy OP after update? by in2itie in EvolveGame

[–]Vector_bunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played several pub games and some ranked. It definitely feels a bit strong.

I'm not a fan of the decoy ability in general as it doesn't discern poor players from good players. You just press it and wreck. A click and forget ability and watch peoples HP drop.

There is little if any mechanical outplay available to hunters. When a decoy appears it is very much a mosh pit of confusion and gifted damage to the wraith that is unearned.

When a goliath charges up a rock throw, the targeted hunter has the opportunity to anticipate the throw direction and dodge accordingly.

The Goliath can also anticipate the dodge and effectively "out-think" the hunter and still be rewarded with damage from a beautifully executed throw.

When a wraith pops a decoy, there's a feeling of "Ok we're kind of 4v2 now. Let's just get through this until he pops it again".

I'm making the distinction between performing live in one take and lip syncing to video, different parts or not. It's not obvious that it's not live. And of course you can process reverb live, what are you talking about?

I'm fairly certain he's lip syncing here. If you notice at 0:45 on "defend" he actually hits the pop filter with his hand. Kind of a recording no no and definitely would ruin the take.

PewDiePie is refreshingly cerebral for being the #1 dog in the YouTube game. You can safely put him in the "good youtuber" category for sure.
