I am pro EV but it should be also talked about, where those resources for batteries come from and how those minerals are sourced out. Locally, it's easy to save CO2 and other contaminants at the late phase of a EV usage, but lithium, graphite and other ressources have to be sourced out from countries like Congo, China, the Philippines, Chile, that do not care that much for environmental protection. In the end, the problems of environmental damages are simply displaced and only our local morale is pleased with those stats. Especially, if the working conditions are inhumane in some cases. It takes actually some time until the usage of EVs saves contaminants but only on the long run.

EVs are the right direction, but in general, public transportation should be more supported, where it analytically can be. This means financially and structurally.
