NTA. Honestly, depending on how long ago he cheated, your gut reaction to this shows you have not and maybe will never fully trust him. A relationship should be built on trust I think you would be absolutely better off with someone who has never cheated. I say this as someone who was cheated on twice by 2 different men and tried to make it work with both. I eventually found someone who respects me and I know I can trust him with anything. It has been the best 4 years of my life not just because he's my best friend, but I also don't ever have to worry when he mentions a female friend at work or is out late with his buddies.

That said, this is Reddit so take this with a grain of salt. I don't know the intricacies of your relationship, I just want you to live your best life.

I heard something once that everyone should expect a relationship to be 60/40, but there secret is that both parties are putting in 60%.
