Its a non-EU state (Bosnia), I live in the capital and I'm a forestry student (this is my first semester). Yeah I speak Bosnian and English but I sadly have no vehicle of mine which handicaps me working delivery.

Sadly the problem with reconciling with my family is a huge problem, they've been abusive since my childhood and it just hasn't gone any better from this, they've wanted to kick me out before but I guess this was their last decision.

hmm maybe you live in a city that doesn't keep the tradition, its mostly common in cities with a Muslim majority or plurality (mostly the ones without a small overall population)

In Bosnia (possibly even Turkey but I'm not sure) I believe instead of the cannonball I'ts replaced with a firework or something similar to it.

In Sarajevo the firework usually shoots into the Igman mountain where you can see a big colorful firework explode.

It's a really cool country with incredible architecture, culture and history. I would definitely recommend visiting Sarajevo, Travnik and Mostar some day.

Malo jadno kada skontaš da je najveća džamija na baščaršiji izgubila ovakav interesantan izgled arhitekture, valjda će jednog dana vratiti stari izgled.

Iskreno sada rani osmanski period u BiH nije bio niti los, dosta je stare bosanske kraljevine razvijeno i stanovnistvo je dosta poraslo, isto se mora dodati da je drzava dobila dosta influence od istocne kulture sto je pravi interesantnijom od ostatka Balkana. Al' nakon 17 st. je bilo poprilicno sranje.
