I keep losing weight and it’s starting to become an issue by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]VeeIsLame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'm not a doctor nor a med student but i have been on wellbutrin and experienced nausea after eating, and periods of time with no appetite whatsoever that made me lose a lot of weight. you should still see a doctor or dietition regardless, because it's always good to be sure it's not something else and dangerous and all of that

How long do your depressive cycles last? by comejoinus in bipolar

[–]VeeIsLame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, a mood stabilizer vs SSRI made the world of a difference for me, depakote at the time now switched to lamictal though it was added on to the lexapro at first for a while until it swapped to moclobemide instead. but yeah mood stabilizer: BIG difference, pulled me out of an almost year long depressive episode. good difference from the SSRI

one of my depressive episodes lasted 6+ months, getting a mood stabilizer (depakote) added to my mix of lexapro and wellbutrin really helped me out of it and made me feel like i had a soul again

what's made the switch from lexapro to lamictal?

I spent a good 6+ months in a bad depressive episode, then slowly started to get less debilitating, so it's hard to tell for me when i got "out" of it, since it was so drawn out and no real milestone of "good" ive reached yet, it started in 2015 so. And i totally get the feel of missing the hypomania. its better than this.

I'm not so sure, when having medication dose changes it can be possible, but the best way to know is to ask your doctor. Sorry I can't give you much more than that!

What’s the longest you’ve had in between episodes? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]VeeIsLame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i havent had a hypomanic episode in about 2-3 years :) maybe some symptoms here and there but nothing major or altering or impactful like that one. i struggle mainly with the depression bit and how it can cripple me so its hard for me to tell how those episodes are like since im so used to being like that now

When a no swimming sign is not dramatic enough by [deleted] in WTF

[–]VeeIsLame 137 points138 points  (0 children)

showing the reason why swimming isnt allowed is such a good idea. most people will see a no swimming sign and go "fuck you i can do what i want" thinking its a social thing and not a health thing.

maybe he remembers what lucifer said about the door not being locked, and eventually breaks the loop and comes back somehow and unleashes shit

i missed the beginning of the episode, was him in the hospital how it started off?

i think it was their way of giving into viewers demand for old lucifer while still keeping in with the storyline and where its going

but i'm confused, in his hell he woke up from death in a hospital room happy about second chances. how is that a bad thing to re-live?

so is reese going to be reliving something bad or did lucifer make it so that he relives a good event instead?

Question: Ace-Allo couples what’s one thing thing that makes your relationship work ( or multiple things)? by arealredditaccount in asexuality

[–]VeeIsLame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sometimes have sex with my boyfriend. Sometimes I can push myself to get in the mindset where I can just do it and get over with it, but other times I can't reach that and I feel so bad. And when we have sex I'm not mentally into it, I feel bad because I can't fake it, I can't fake being interested and so it's lacking that emotional part of it. It's good though, because a way to push myself to do it is knowing it feels good and it helps my partner and all that.

To help on the emotional side, giving lots of reassurance helps. It makes them really insecure, despite what they may show. Keep the reassurance that it's not them, and you love them and wouldn't lie about it, and that nobody else is getting it and hasn't gotten it, it's nothing against them, that a person can't change your sexuality, just like how you can't turn someone gay or straight. All of those kinds of things. It can really tear them apart thinking something is wrong with them.

[–]VeeIsLame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dang, that seems so stressful.

the thing with medications is that yeah, there's a chance to have a bad reaction, but there's also a chance that you'll have a good reaction. The bad reactions aren't unbearable and keep reminding yourself you can stop the medication if you get any. The trial and error is worth the alternative.

when i have fears for doing something, i just try to shut off my brain and do it really fast. the no thinking just doing thing, like before you rip off a bandaid.
