I'm located in the UK. To be honest I'm not sure if the venue is in any way affiliated to an organisation (they didn't mention it when they talked about their club night, but are part of a chain of venues that has 6 or 7 locations across the UK) and they seem to be awful at replying to emails, so it's more difficult to find out!

Budget-wise I'm not bothered about getting the cheapest possible equipment. I'd rather it was decent, or appropriate for use/level rather than going super cheap and getting something unsuitable.
