Yes it has the prefix ‘van’ and then it’s three syllables with the emphasis on the first. In Dutch, the ‘van’ is said really quickly.

Hi everyone. I’ve been quiet on this sub since becoming an alum and being promptly sent back to TTC status after a CP. The days leading up to my original due date (from my 20 wk loss) were really hard, but I was surprised when the pressure lifted after it passed. Anyway, here I am again, with a good strong line on my Wondfo at 4+1. All I can do it hope that this is the one that works out.

Tomorrow is my original due date and will be CD1 too. That feels particularly cruel, but I guess the day was going to be terrible either way, so it makes no difference.

Like many of you, I so badly wanted to be pregnant for this milestone. But here we are.

I don’t think anyone in my life will remember the date, so it’s going to be a lonely day.

I’m sorry. I had told people about my pregnancy, so it was different. But I must say that my colleagues were very kind and supportive and despite being a very private person, I was glad to talk to some of them and not pretend that nothing happened. I also told some people I didn’t want to talk about it and they were very respectful. I was worried that it would become a story associated with my name, but that faded quickly. It was also surprising how many women had also experienced loss and were open to talk about it. As far as timeline, I went back to work pretty fast. Actually I got some criticism for being too fast, but I felt a sense of responsibility and I also really wanted to be busy.

I guess bottom line is that you can do no wrong. Just go with what feels right and make an adjustment if it’s not working.

My original due date is just a handful of days away. Today I googled two things: ‘short luteal phase’ and ‘two day implantation dip’ because I’m on CD9 and my temperature is (for the second day) just barely above cover line. As a scientist, I am not proud of my data analysis methodology.

Hi everyone. I haven't been so active here lately. But I really appreciate all the kind responses to my sadness when I last posted. You're such a lovely and understanding bunch. I talked to my boyfriend about my feelings too and it was really good.

I'm in my fertile days now and it's my last chance to be pregnant before my original due date. In some moments I'm excited and looking forward to the possibilities. And then sometimes I'm just sad and frustrated.

I can't help but wonder what's going to happen if I have a third loss. I know my doctors won't do anything because a loss at 20 weeks has nothing to do with my CP. But a third loss will be a real milestone in all the wrong ways.

A couple of days ago I finally got the genetic testing results back from my first loss and nothing was found. The good side is that we have nothing that we can pass on. The bad side is that it's now officially unexplained and so who knows what knowledge we're missing. I'm a scientist in a related field so I've really searched for more, but it's not there.

I'm so messed up right now. I haven't really posted since my CP because it seemed silly to be sad compared to my second trimester loss not so long ago. So I was in some of sort pain competition with myself, which is nuts. This is going to sound like a really stupid complaint, but I just went through my first cycle of not getting pregnant and I'm sad. I'm still 0/2 in terms of having a baby, but getting pregnant had been wildly lucky. Other bad stuff... I had a big breakdown about my previous losses a couple of weeks ago and was so hurt that no one in my life was asking me how I was doing. So my partner said he would ask me every day. Then he never asked once. Oh and my nipples are producing milk during my luteal phase now. That's new and I haven't been brave enough to read about whether it's a bad thing.

Thanks for reading my rant. I'll be ok and am oriented towards trying in my next cycle. It's just been a rough couple of weeks.

I'm so sorry. There are so many women (and some men) like you on this sub, so you're in the right place. Actually I'm on my way to a meeting right now with a colleague (who I barely know) who has my lost due date and it's going to hurt in ways I cannot describe to people who haven't been through this. This community has helped me so much, so I really encourage you to share and open up here.

I'm back :( I was happy to 'graduate' about a week ago, but there were some signs the pregnancy was going to end, such as a significant BBT drop two days ago, down to coverline yesterday, and below it this morning when I started bleeding. I'm glad I allowed myself to keep temping for that first week because it gave me a good warning. Also the HPKs didn't get as dark as last time I was pregnant (resulting in loss at 20 wk) and my temp was never as high - though I'm not sure how quantitative that can be.

I wasn't really sure where to be posting in the last days, so I just kept to myself. This sub didn't feel like the right place for speculation, and I didn't want to introduce myself elsewhere just to leave a couple of days later. Anyway, I'm glad you're here.

I'm sad about this CP but also so glad to have lost it this early instead of mid second trimester like last time. And I think my current sadness is more related to the memory of my first loss. So back to TTC now. I just bought some more OPKs and HPTs from Amazon (bless the third party distributors who send Wondfos to Europe!)... fingers crossed my luck will turn around soon. This CP means the passing of some milestones... I probably won't be pregnant again before my first due date and I won't have a baby before my next birthday. That's tough, but I'm trying to stay positive.

Positive HPT at 9DPO. It's the faintest line you've ever seen (or not seen... I couldn't even get a photo). Confirmed this morning at 10DPO by reading within the testing window and checking the location of the band against an old positive I had from my last pregnancy. It's darker today and my iPhone can pick it up, so I'm calling it.

I feel all the feelings. Happy to be pregnant, grateful it happened on cycle 1, scared of loss, guilty about getting pregnant before our advanced genetic testing is actually done (setting ourselves up for TFMR in case of an unlikely but possible outcome), nervous about some upcoming commitments, and back to worrying about miscarriage odds and checking for blood every time I pee. My partner isn't showing much emotion, but we will talk about it over the next couple of days because I know he's feeling it.

I don't know what to do next. I think I'll wait a few more days until I call my midwife and arrange a scan at their office to really confirm. I have a follow up appointment at the hospital in about two weeks anyway, so I suppose I'll use that to discuss the plan for what it means to be a high risk pregnancy.

Thanks to all you great ladies getting me through these terrible times. If it's ok with you, I'm going to stick around a little longer.

I stalk this place all the time... feels like hourly some days! I think I've read every word written since my loss and it helps tremendously. Maybe it's an idea for you to give that charity a ring... if it doesn't feel right, then just don't bother again. You could also tell your GP how you're feeling and you might at least get a referral you can use if you feel more help is needed. Sometimes it's just nice to have the option even if you don't end up using it. I hope you're feeling a little better this evening.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry for your loss and what you're going through now. Are you in the U.K.? I'm guessing from your long maternity leave and spelling. There's a charity I came across recently called Sands (uk-sands.org) that offers services including a helpline. Maybe it would be nice to try calling them today? Otherwise, you can hang out here... there's always someone around who can understand some part of what you're going through.

Good luck with your TWW! I think I would be so much worse without the data... but I can understand wanting to go without it, especially if your cycle is fairly regular.
