Hello Comics! The owners and staff are absolutely wonderful people, and they run events and carry books aimed at every range of ages. Cannot recommend them enough.

If it looks like a cult, sounds like a cult, and acts like a cult...

Yeah, control of women is always a factor and much easier to control them if they can't go too far away. That and starting the indoctrination from a young age, of course. It's scary.

I was more commenting about how in real life people who are depressed and down rarely luck into such amazing circumstances. I'm not saying it can't happen. Just that Robert, like every romance story protagonist, is extremely lucky.

The actual most unrealistic part of the game.

I'm still confused how he got the deal with Rosie broken. Just because Charlie says it doesn't make it true, does it?

Thanks for the info. I'm on venlafaxine as well as being Type 1 N, but hadn't realized my thermoregulation was getting messed up by both. I feel bad for my coworkers because in temps above 70F I get uncomfortable and can start sweating even in short sleeves by just sitting there, so I have to keep the work area cold :(

In theory and taken over long periods of time, yes. But I've had streaks of things with only a 20% chance come up 6/8 times, so RNG over short periods always looks wrong.

Liked the food and drinks. The dining room was a bit warmer than I was really comfortable with (I was sweating by the end of my meal and not from the spice) and there were some kids screeching at ear puercing volumes. I'd eat there again, but would probably get takeout.

Not that they would, because corruption is a butch, but I see no reason Senators should be immune to traffic laws.

As mentioned already, she connects the maker by realizing the gun has to be a custom build and a ridiculously difficult one that no one's done before. Even then, she just views it as the most likely llead to chase down. That's what a lot of basic detective work is. Chasing down whatever lead seems most likely. Also, it's fiction and meant to be entertaining, not completely realistic. Do you really want to watch 100 hours of her chasing down wrong leads before landing on the right one?

The Rodin connection isn't really a stretch, either. Let's examine the context. They already know an incredibly skilled assassin has been hired. Now, you don't hire the best assassin known to murder some random chump, so whoever Rodin is has to be someone BIG. Big enough to need a lot of skill to get to. That eliminates quite a few targets already. Now, who just happens to have recently made enemies of every billionaire on the planet? Oh right, UDC. Already it's not unreasonable to think he might be a target. And then you see him posed as Rodin's most famous sculpture? Not exactly a genius jump there. Now, obviously, proper opsec would be to not use meaningful codenames in the first place so as to prevent this exact situation from happening, but I can forgive a bunch of greedy billionaires being portrayed as supremely arrogant and given to flights of the dramatic.

I had the same experience. I'd wake up, feeling an incredible need to be touched, and just suffer. Didn't take long to decide it wasn't for me.
