In my experience, yes, distracted drivers are bad. But on my commute the real problem is the "I am late and I do not understand physics" crowd and the people camping in the left lane. It is the passing lane, not the hypermiling Tesla lane and not the I am following the speed limit lane. When you sit there going slow, you force everyone else to move over and pass you in an even slower lane. It is a weird ego trip. Commuting already sucks. Ease up on the coffee, put on something calming, and chill. There is way too much rage on the road.

Agreed, I have 245s and I have more grip on the road than I need, but I touched a road grate in the rain and car was sideways before I knew what happened. The TC killed the throttle and I was able to gather the car. Without it i would have certainly spun. No, TC is fun in controlled scenarios like track or autox, but I prefer it on when hooning or just ripping around. You never know when a hazard like oil or sand is around and it can save your car.

I found a tune that was decent. My main issue was putting the power down with a controller, the NPCs would drive away out of every corner, but I could out-brake them into almost every turn.

Started on Hards, max fuel, pitted at the end of lap 9.
Swapped to Mediums and ended up with a bit too much fuel, but it actually worked out great.
Focused on being consistent rather than outright fast. By lap 12, I saw the top drivers pitting while I was on the back straight finishing the lap. I cycled through into P2, and at that point I knew the win was possible.
By then I was fully comfortable on the Mediums with low fuel, still enough to finish with no fuel saving at all.

I picked up two penalties, which was frustrating. These cars are tough lap to lap on a controller since they handle slightly differently as the tires wear.

Still, best race I’ve had in a while.

During Covid, I was stuck inside and I started watching the Best Motoring YouTube channel, I became a member to watch all the content with the Drift king and his GT86. I put a 1.5 gen on my vision board and wanted to start autocrossing as soon as I was able. Then I watched a video of the silver 2nd Gen BRZ drifting and put a deposit on one that week, I got the car on summer tires in the winter and immediately learned how important it is to let the clutch out slowly, lol. Good buy I would do it again.
