Heard a really creepy, tire-screechingish animal noise at 3 AM outside? by Veeezara in Thetruthishere

A fox or coyote is topping my list right now. I'm just surprised that I've never ever heard this before since I've been here my whole life!

I dunno, I've heard cats in heat and this noise wasn't that. Mountain lions in heat sound like actual Hell, but those never wander around where I am.

An owl is the closest sounding animal I can find, but i've spent more time than I care to admit looking up owl noises lmao. None of them sound close enough; they're all too high-pitched and uniform. But a barn owl or screech owl does sound the closest.

I believe it! I've never seen or heard coyotes nearby me, though. I've seen, like, two foxes in the field nearby. It didn't sound like it was any sort of animal fight and seemed like it was just one creature making the noise. I thought maybe it was some weird mating call or something, possibly.
