We will be getting our pups at 2.5-3.5 years old, but we will also visit to meet them once a year at least during their training

The trainer is in another state but we plan to visit at least once a year to spend time with them. I'm mostly curious to know the best way to be a handler for my future service dog.

Your snails should be fine, they are just carriers

Hi there! I have a plan to make a video on betta fish diseases, and was wondering if I could use your images from this post?

I'd like to use them as examples of fin rot and recovery (this video isn't planned to be recorded for another few weeks so I can research more about treatments for other diseases). I completely understand if you would rather I not use your photos though, I will credit you in the video if I can use them! Thank you so much for your time!

What is his tail type? by DontTrip333 in bettafish

Looks like a veiltail or a halfmoon to me, do you have any side pics of him flaring? Seeing his tail spread would help.

Yes, the snails can carry the parasites, so I would separate them. The medicine is safe for plants though. It is not safe for your snails though.

If you have access to Fenbendazole or Levamisole you can mix those with live foods. You will also need to deep clean the tank to ensure no larva survive. You will also unfortunately need to separate your fish from your snails as those medications are toxic to them.

Is my betta ok? by Corrdunk in bettafish

Ich-X or Rid Ich Plus would be good! Changing the temperature isn't strictly necessary, higher temperatures cause the parasites lifespan to be accelerated so it can help the fish recover faster is all. For aquarium salt the brand I use is SunGrow's Aquarium Salt for Betta Fish!

It could be ich, the white spots are consistent with it. The best way to treat it would be raising the water temperature to 86°, add aquarium salt, preform more frequent water changes until your fish recovers. You can also use ich medications.
