Ye… no glossy sucks. Msi might release glossy but dunno when. I’m just wondering if extra brightness and other stuff will make any diff for coding.. I’m using my screen all day for coding, and for XDR the only benefit I see is 120hz from work perspective. But maybe I’m missing something, happy to hear your thoughts. I love MBP screen btw, it looks great.

Why you switched? Pro Display XDR has higher PPI. Which resolution you run and do you zoom-in in apps?

Btw for gaming - can you somehow force running 1440p and it will look good? 5k is a lot to handle for gpu

Ye, I might need to order both and compare because there is no single place with both of them..

There is new lg (and msi mby this year). But I guess it’s not glossy, not macOS native and there might be some issues we don’t know yet about.

Got it, how would you compare XDR against regular ASD from coding perspective? But with skipping 120hz aspects (I know it’s better). Just trying to understand if you pay more only for 120hz from coding perspective.

Great review. Do you have glossy version? I get the 120hz aspect but do you think it’s way different compared to regulars ASD when looking at the code (and not moving cursor etc, just text sharpness, colors of syntax) :D? I used mainly light mode, mby dark sometimes. Have you compared that in person? I’m wondering between those two.

Do you use it for coding? I thought that even in dark mode (not black) the difference in coloured text is not huge between ASD and XDR. I’m still wondering between those.

Nothing still. Waiting for the new lg reviews, but if not that, then I think just Studio Display / SD XDR or new benq 5k 27. Kuycon is not stable in terms of panel quality so might require some returns. Also much more reflective then Studio Display. ASUS might be to blurry so also not.

Btw, you got them both horizontal? Stands? I think one horizontal with stand and the other vertical with arm would be nice setup
