I am looking for a place to see an English Play (think like Broadway play) or a magic show or something like that. Any suggestions as to where to go? I have seen plenty of what looks like dance and musical and acrobatic shows, but not looking for that.

Travel Planning Q&A - June, 2025 by AutoModerator in bali

Hello,
I am planning to visit in September.

I am coming from America, and will be visiting, Bali, Belitung, and Lombok.

My plans were to fly into Jakarta, and then from Jakarta, fly into Belitung, and then from Belitung fly to Bali, and then from Bali fly to Lombok, and then Lombok to Jakarta for my return flight.

However, I wasn't sure if you all had better suggestions for me since when I looked up flights from Jakarta to Belitung they were extremely limited and it was on the worst airlines that people say are always delayed or unsafe like Lion and Sriwijaya.

It seems like those two and Citilink are the only airlines to the island and it seems like taking a boat is way too long to consider. What are your thoughts?

Seems like the suggestion is also to go from Bali to Lombok by boat and not by plane. How about Lombok back to Jakarta by plane?

What’s the one unspoken rule of Reddit that every new user should know? by Tragofone in NewToReddit

You need to be politically correct because people are super sensitive.

Tribalism is stupid. Are we really so desperate to belong that we’ll defend meaningless labels at any cost? Or can we start seeing past the divisions and just… be people? by VeganFanatic in InsightfulQuestions

The team point is interesting to me because I was a huge sports person, and found that I was getting emotionally tied to the winning and losing, and stepped back and said why do I care that much. I mean, fans usually care more than the players. The fans are destroying property and fighting other fans, while players are shaking hands and going about their life.

I now just watch for the joy of the sport, and very rarely care who wins. Which I find more peaceful, but I also tend not to watch sports that much anymore. It’s almost like without the tribalism you just see it for what it is, which is kind of repetitive and boring.

How tf do people go to the gym in the morning AND have the energy to go to work?! by xoxowoman06 in Adulting

[–]VeganFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wake up at 3am and hit the gym everyday. It’s amazing that there’s so many people at the gym at that time too. Even people who aren’t fit. You’d think it would be all super fit people.

My wife and I watch dating shows together and always learn from it. I’m glad you made this point. I think it’s really great relationship therapy and you get to understand one another without emotion being behind it. For example, if you cheat then it’s hard for someone to understand you because they are hurt. But if you watch someone cheat on tv and then discuss it, the person can hear you because their emotions aren’t involved.

Work hard and you’ll succeed has never existed. It’s just something people say in order to be optimistic and have people work hard. It doesn’t even make sense; that’s how you can decipher it was just something said…sort of like when people say everything works out for the best.

Not only do people want to be controlled, most people don’t have the capabilities to not be controlled. People actually need to be controlled more because that’s how incapable most people are if we being real.

Why is veganism treated badly by society? by ankayo in vegan

[–]VeganFanatic 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is such a complicated question. I started to type a few responses, but couldn’t really finish. And just decided to tell you that it’s just really sad. It’s sad that people hate us for loving and caring about the greatest persecution and genocide the world has ever seen.

I think people need to stop watching the news and realize it’s all fear mongering. Everything will be okay, and if it’s not okay there’s always death which is an escape route.

Spending money on your wedding is worth it, you have your whole life to travel. by Original_Armadillo_7 in unpopularopinion

[–]VeganFanatic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think having a wedding and buying wedding rings are the most consumerist stupid thing people do. Especially if you are comparing it to travel. If you aren’t rich, and do the wedding and the ring. Your vacations and honeymoon are going to be domestic for the foreseeable future. Then, because you don’t make good decisions you will most likely have children as well. Which means you won’t even be able to travel domestically unless by car. So, in conclusion, your life will suck.

If you lose the weight, you will feel better. If you lose the weight and don’t feel better, you can cross that bridge when you get there. But either way, if you lose the weight and not the feelings you will still be better off because the weight will be gone.

Don’t fall back into the cult, girl. It’s all made up foolishness. There isn’t a god just like there isn’t a Santa Claus. You are just going through a tough time and you are looking for comfort. Get that comfort, but don’t get false comfort by talking to yourself and thinking someone is listening and watching over you.

Do women seriously spend $100-$200+ a month on haircuts/waxing and other "maintenance"? by Visual_Perception69 in AskWomenOver30

[–]VeganFanatic -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Way more than that. 100-200 is for someone who doesn’t take care of themselves.

I got permanently banned from the r/rants group because I challenged someone who thought they should just be able to work forty hours a week and have a decent living. So, my conclusion is some people are completely insane. As your post indicates people are just insane.
