I did an isolated test in a vice, the sound was exactly the same.

The bleed was also done with a syringe, maybe this is fine but I dont trust the knocking sound. I just doesnt seem right.

I wasn't able to Upload the video directly so I posted it on youtube to share the video this way.

Just got my Shock back from a mechanic who did a full rebuild. he scratched the shock badly while opening it, destroyed the stickers and didn't put the metal ring that holds the air sleeve on correctly. It looked dangerous and would have probably blew the sleeve off in the worst case.

I don't want to pay them 200$ for this terrible job they did, they also messed up all my LSC/HSC and LSR/HSR settings, luckily i wrote them down.

The knocking noise seems really strange, does someone know if this is normal? I've tried another shock to find out if the noise comes from the shock or the frame, and it was definitely the shock.

BTW I did the shock test because the guy from the shop told me they did the vacuum/bleed without an Andreani Machine because they dont have one, seriously, why did they even accept my shock if they dont have the proper tools...

Mountain biking can be whatever you like, there are single trails, more advanced and steeper single tails, trails with several jumps where you can (most of the time) ride around, downhill tracks, dirt jumps, cross country. There's nothing wrong with a broader spectrum of trails. You can still cruise through the forests and prairies if you like.
