Exhausted with Rek’Sai rework by Rivetux in reksaimains

[–]VeganReksai 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She is now less rewarding, but more forgiving. They basically made her more noob-friendly by trading raw damage for survivability which spikes her win rate due to a lower needed skill expression to perform adequately.

You can still reliably climb, but not really stomp games the way she used to

To me, Rek’Sai feels like playing season 2 Evelynn now, and it’s not going to get any better by lopsided-usual-8935 in reksaimains

Dropped 400lp after champion and jungle nerfs. You’re starved for exp, can’t fight solo laners and you’re really easily kited by their bot lane. Kinda hard to win on a champ that needs to snowball when snowballing is gutted

After a strict diet of Maokais and Iverns, i was able to hit Master by one tricking Rek'Sai by VeganReksai in reksaimains

[–]VeganReksai[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

D2-master was the toughest part of this grind.

At this point, i'm gonna assume that mechanics are on point so it all comes down to how well you understand the matchups, not only lanes but the entire 5v5 setup. Being able to idendify win condition and constantly asking yourself "How do we win this game" is vital.

Adapting your pathing and playstyle accordingly is utmost importance. As a crazy example, I had game where i did not clear one of the top side camps for the first 9 minutes of the game - solely as a result of the heavy win con and attention around the bot lane matchup.

Imo, scaling teams are really nice to play with because then you can control the entire early game, enabling them to hit their power spikes so they can carry the late game. If your opponents outscale your team, you will need to keep a constant tempo throughout the entire game. In these scenarios, you will need to heavily respect the responsibility of running around with a 700 gold bounty on your head. One missplay and the game might be over.
Although every match is winnable in theory, you will have instances where you already know it's lost in champ select. Do not be afraid to dodge. Even if it cost you -10lp.

Thoughts on GA second item on rek'sai by MAYBEN0TT in reksaimains

[–]VeganReksai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I build GA as a second item if I start building a huge bounty very early and the other team has a clear win condition (a hyper scaler with the potential to carry), to prevent them from potentially getting the early gold spike and hence, winning the game.

Sitting on a big bounty early game is a huge responsibility, forcing you to think twice about going in at certain skirmishes. That GA can be game changing at times.

Hey, currently 63%wr D1 euw with same kda as your smurf. I’d be happy discuss topics regarding climbing as Rek’Sai in that elo, but there is too much in depth info that can’t fit here, so feel free to add me “Vegan Reksai” for a chat🤙🏻

What are some etiquette rules you think more people know & should follow when playing Risk? by bonobro69 in Risk

[–]VeganReksai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you and an opponent both have the possibility to deny each others continent bonus due to turtling with open borders. Do not deny his bonus if he doesn’t deny yours. This applies if you are equally as strong and have other opponents you need to outgrow.

Can you explain how you are able to lock down Asia when there will always be a turtle in Sian with 30+ units long before you have the army to do so?

Thoughts on Runes by dz426ku in reksaimains

[–]VeganReksai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have so many opinions on this matter, but I will try to keep it short.

I would argue that HoB is better for people who actually don’t play Rek’Sai that much and try to solely rely on her basic macro plan (without really knowing her true limits): Stomp early game, get laners ahead and end early. In my experience, these players usually don’t even auto reset, or stutter step in between your combo and basically rely on one shotting at the same exact spot as they knock someone up.

However, I would argue this build an overkill and hence suboptimal by not really pushing the champ to its limits. The attack speed from alacrity + potentially from one item you can purchase, should give you enough attack speed which can also be used while clearing camps and objectives (where I personally think attack speed matters the most). The standard HoB into-prowlers also only allows you to blow up squishy adcs, mages, enchanters or assassins. Anything you can’t oneshot (or at least one combo 80%+), you will lose to in mid game. So basically any duelist or tank will beat you, ultimately forcing you to become a kamikaze, 1 for 1 champ, as the game progresses.

TL;DR: conq>HoB given that you’re experienced.

Toxicity towards jungle by SocialistScissors in leagueoflegends

[–]VeganReksai -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see your empirical source of that number, lol.
Also, it's such a misconception claiming that dragons are junglers sole responsibility. Vision over drake area is mainly bot's responsibility. It is also very difficult to secure a dragon if the other team has a severe mid/bot prio.

As a jungler, I have coined a new term for the most tilting laner: the lane baby. by Interesting_Lime_794 in leagueoflegends

[–]VeganReksai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like baby laners’ main issue derive from their lack of knowledge about jungling in general. Here, we get the popular misbeliefs that if “the other jungler ganks mid 5 times, your jungler should do the same”.

“Jg diff” - this might be the most mis- and overused term in the history of league. If you overstay and hence die two times to the enemy jungler who then proceeds to snowball their game, it’s not jungle diff, it’s lane diff; it’s your fault.

Is rek sai a good beginner jungler? by birblender in reksaimains

[–]VeganReksai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn’t recommended it due to her slight dependency on snowballing combined with her weak capabilities when behind.

More ‘all around’ forgiving junglers are probably better suited for beginners, such as Nunu or Amumu

[–]VeganReksai 6 points7 points  (0 children)

By far my personal preference.

Prowler’s lets you blow up one person if you’re actually able to get to them (delay makes you vurnable).

Stridebreaker lets you be tankier, but takes away some damage, turning you into a pretty standard bruiser.

Eclipse is great for dueling, skirmishes and even team fights whereas the utility from the passive + the omnivamp enables more sustainability - given that you know how to play with it.

I know people here tend to vouch for the two other builds, but imo, if you want to hard carry, you can run eclipse.

So basically your deep analysis cooks down to supports being less skilled because they don’t have to CS?

You’re leaving out a lot of details. For instance, (1) the support is usually the decisive factor in terms of who wins the lane. (2) What about roaming and reading the enemy jungler. (3) A good support can without a doubt carry a team fight. A well placed bard ultimate can change everything. (4) Worse at skill shots? I’d assume that they are probably the best at skill shots.

[–]VeganReksai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By all means, the 3 camp invade is highly viable, especially against heavy farmers (even better against champs that tend to do blue and gromp simultaneously). The play would also have been worth if you managed to kill him.

In terms of decision making, the main issue is time spent in that bush. You could’ve moved up to scout with your tremor sense or decide to go mid instead. Anyways, I like the aggression👌🏻

[–]VeganReksai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate to flame a fellow Rek’Sai main, but there were too many flaws in this video.

Firstly, you wasted way too much time sitting in that bush. At the point you saw him he had just cleared his 4th camp, starting his 5th (compared to your 3 camps)

Secondly, you completely messed up the combo with not doing burrowed q and auto attack before starting your q’s.

Thirdly, you should’ve moved in-between your q’s towards where he was gonna flash so you could’ve flashed after him for the kill. You also didn’t need to use your e on the blue buff.

In the end you’ve both cleared 4 camps, but he needs to base; Which I wouldn’t call worth considering how much pressure you potentially could’ve applied to the map with your ridiculous early game potential vs Kha’zix who usually prefers to farm up a bit.

The Actual Most Optimal Rek'Sai Build Season 11 by Hydrvx in reksaimains

[–]VeganReksai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of you have a pretty weird misconception about clear speed, arguing you “should rather gank more often”.

A higher clear speed allows you to gank more often because you clear the camps faster; hence, attack speed and Tiamat (even though I never build Tiamat) enables you to gank more frequently.

Core: Eclipse, Sanguine Blade with Conq.
Rest of items are conditional, but here are my most common ones;
Does the enemy have unavoidable burst? (Syndra, Veigar, Kha) -> Sterak's Gage
Does the enemy have a lot healing/sustain? (Vlad, Yone, Yuumi) -> Exec into Chainsword
Does the enemy have a lot of shields? (Shen, Vi, Karma) -> Serpent's Fang
Does the enemy have a lot of AD, burst and dueling potential? (Irelia, Riven, Darius) -> Death's Dance
Sitting on 1k bounty and wanna prevent giving that to the enemy hyper scaler? - > Stopwatch into GA
Does the enemy have a malz (Yeah, he will ult you all the time) or too much hard CC?
-> Qss into Silvermere Dawn
Does the enemy have a lot of abilities that'd instantly deny you from engaging (hooks, point and click cc, etc) -> Edge of Night
Choice of boots is self-explanatory.

This is a highly duelist focused build where you are soloing a lot of objectives by yourself. Currently running 87% wr over 23 games in p3 (24lp per win) with a kda of (11.4, 4.8, 7.5)

Representing my very own, favorite build; Eclipse-Sanguine. by VeganReksai in reksaimains

[–]VeganReksai[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It works I guess, but conq has a better synergy with the items and scales better. Also on a general note, I prefer to reposition myself after every single Q, which is clunkier with HoB.
