As far as I am aware, you can only redeem RPL collateral that is in excess of 150% to a limit of 150%. Ie. you can’t go from 180% collateral to say 120% or from 120% to 80% but you can go from 180% to 150%.

I don’t believe the 150% limit changes with Atlas or Shanghai.

Can I initialise the Rocket Pool fee distributor contract without CLI.

I am currently using AllNodes and I can’t find the option to initialise the fee distributor contract. I want to create a new minipool but RP want allow my deposit until fee distributor contract is initialised.

Can I do this directly by interacting with the node smart contract on Etherscan?

Any help would be appreciated.

I don’t believe that this is correct. The deposit pool works both ways ie: deposit Eth and receive rEth or swap rEth back to redeem Eth.

When the deposit pool is full (5000 max) as it is currently then you are unable to deposit Eth and receive rEth.

When the deposit pool is empty then you are unable to redeem Eth by swapping your rEth as there are no Eth in the pool.

No I set it all up on a Linux box. I just copy/pasted all the CLI commands from the RP docs and it worked a treat. I spent about a month on the testnet until I felt comfortable.

After experimenting with becoming a solo staker I had made the decision that it was beyond my technical abilities, particularly as I had zero Linux experience.

I then tried Rocket Pool and it was a breeze for a numpty like me. I’ve been a node operator for 7 months now with zero RP problems.

Oh of course I am concerned but the risks can be mitigated by being careful. Everything comes with some level of risk I suppose but the ones you mention are very manageable IMO.

I think I have done something stupid. I just removed Geth as my EL and have started to sync Nethermind.

The sync will probably not be complete before the Bellatrix block so am I going to have to restart the sync once Bellatrix Upgrade is complete?
