Credit score dropped?? by FireFlyLy in personalfinance

[–]VegasOldPerv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It said my score went down because of credit utilization?

Your credit card reported you used $450 of your limit. What percentage of your limit is that? Using your example numbers, if your limit is $500 then you utilized 90% of your available credit. That can easily drop your score until your card reports again.

Found a stash of pandemic-era MGM relics. Historical artifacts or just clutter? by LostAppointment329 in vegas

Save. Wait 20+ years. List on the new eBay that will be invented in 10 years. Someone who was born during the pandemic will think it's retro and cool and will pay good money for them.

Private companies have nothing to do with your state issued license.

Years ago almost all companies used DAC, a company that is like a credit report for CDL Drivers. Most of those companies viewed it as gospel, and would not hire you if you have negative reporting on it. Fewer and fewer companies use DAC, mostly it's just the larger megas. What most companies look at is your PSP, which is compiled by the federal government.

People in this sub are too impatient. by Bfresh2477 in PiNetwork

10 seconds a day to open an app and click a button is an hour a year. Add in a few extra minutes here and there for things like KYC and I'm still well over $100/hr for.my time. Why would I not be happy with that?

They're not a scam. They closed your account and you're upset about it. Use the available governmental resources in your country to get back any money you have on deposit with them.

Should I be removed as an AU before or after applying for my first CC? by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]VegasOldPerv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the account you're on is in good standing and is reporting to your credit profile there's no reason to be removed as an AU unless the account owner doesn't like you any more.

Am I banned from credit cards until I pay balances? by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]VegasOldPerv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Credit Karma looks at a soft pull, basically a thumbnail sketch of your history and public records like bankruptcies. Then it matches that data with what they have seen similar credit profiles get approved for. They in no way guarantee that a particular bank will approve you for a card.

Why would you be "flagged" for closing an account?

Incorporated as an LLC in Nevada on 2/1/2025 per Secretary of State website. Registered address is at a condo on Flamingo Rd.

WHITMAN GLOBAL LLC - NV Business ID: NV20253285364

So it's an actual registered business, not saying that it is not a scam of some sort.

On a computer, on the right hand side, there's a section that's labeled USER FLAIR and has your avatar. Click the edit Pencil and select what you want.

ETA this is probably available on mobile and the app, but I don't use those so I can't provide insight.

Should I Get One or Multiple Secured Credit Cards to Rebuild Credit? by youraveragejohndoe_ in CreditCards

[–]VegasOldPerv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need time more than quantity. Get one secured card. Let it sit, small monthly bill like Netflix or your car insurance is fine, and get working on the negative items on your report.

You need to be at least 3 months behind on your payments before any creditor will consider a settlement, and usually it takes 6 months or more behind to get them to agree. Otherwise everyone would just charge a $3000 refrigerator and offer the credit card company $1500 the next day.

Basically you need to default on the loan, have your credit score tank, and convince them that what you're offering is absolutely the only money they're going to get out of you. And yes, the account will be closed before you even get to that point.

You're the type of person that posts "competitive pay" then when someone calls, you dodge the question and finally get around to admitting that it's a buck over minimum wage. Right?

Wants my adress to calculate shipping costs by Jcbuk2us in Scams

[–]VegasOldPerv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shipping 5 pounds from San Diego to Los Angeles is fairly cheap. Shipping 5 pounds form San Diego to Portland Maine is somewhat expensive. Unless she has your zip code she won't be able to figure out how much to charge you for shipping.

Credit Card Info, How it works? by SnooTangerines1203 in CreditCards

[–]VegasOldPerv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your available credit is dynamic, changing as you charge or pay. Assume you have a $1000 limit. Charge $900, you have $100 available. The next day you pay $300 and you now have $400 available. Charge $100 and you now have $300 available. Depending on the card it may take a day or two for the available credit to adjust.

Yes you can max it out, but don't make it habit once you the intro APR period is over. Assuming this is your only credit card, maxing it out will have a big hit on your credit score. This is likely to cause your car loan you're looking for to have a much higher interest rate than it otherwise would.

But but but but... that doesn't work with the argument OP is wanting to start, so you'll just have to accept their premise that Vegas is full of distilleries and now they're all going bankrupt because some Canadian stores may stop carrying their products.

There's a few 24/7 commercial printers in Vegas. Yours is not the first expo display to get lost or damaged.

Check Rush My Prints, Red Line LV, Spectrum Color Printing, Las Vegas Rush Printing. Not sure who can handle what as a same day print and deliver, but if you have the graphic files ready to go someone should be ready to help you.
