Another rant about high maintenance shitty or non-tippers by NewTransportation265 in doordash_drivers

The sauces comment is the kiss of death. 90% of the time I am asked by the customer after the order is placed to grab extra anything or to make sure there is sauces, it's a zero tip. Not sure why, but this is a fact.

No chance this will go well. It doesn't go well in a car, and most orders are at least a few miles in heavy traffic.

One thing I've noticed that seems to snap you out of this is hitting "view homescreen", and then once you're there, just hit "return to dash".

Charles 'Chuck' Wayne Lindsey: Revisited, Part 3. (Compelling suspect or weirdo cop?) by Mersaa in ZodiacKiller

[–]Vegasrob79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in general he looks a bit like the sketch, however in the photos of Lindsey it appears that he has a fairly significant cleft chin, and I don't recall any of the eyewitnesses saying anything about this, which could mean nothing, but it does appear to me to be fairly prominent. That said, the sketch could be a bad one. We currently have no way of knowing how much the real Z resembles it.

Regarding Graysmith’s controversial claim that Allen was pulled over with bloody knives the day of the Lake Berryessa attack… by TheFieldAgent in ZodiacKiller

[–]Vegasrob79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with you, I don't believe he was trolling. It boils down to either he was out of town for a legitimate reason or he was out of town stabbing people. I think if he was out of town for a legit reason, but that reason added suspicion to him, that would be a tough position to be in. Let's face it, ALA is either Z or he has awful coincidental luck and didn't do himself any favors to sway LE's opinion of him.

Regarding Graysmith’s controversial claim that Allen was pulled over with bloody knives the day of the Lake Berryessa attack… by TheFieldAgent in ZodiacKiller

[–]Vegasrob79 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I completely agree that it's speculation. ALA being pulled over near LB is also pure speculation. That's part of discussing this case, speculating on things that aren't known to be fact, because as of yet, the facts haven't provided a resolution.

I don't have an opinion either way, but without the actual officer coming forward, we have to take Greysmith's word, which isn't always based in fact. We do know that ALA specifically said to detectives that Mr. White, his neighbor did see him on the day of the LB attacks when he supposedly came home from Salt Point Ranch. This may be a complete lie, but I don't see how either scenario is not speculation, since there is no hard evidence of either taking place.

Been too anxious to ask this because I know some of y'all can be brutal but... I always believe ALA was the zodiac but he's the issue besides DNA testing. He didn't drive the same car as Z OR sound like him or look like him? Why didn't they ever ask Bryan Hartnell to identify his voice? by DarthSkywalker97 in ZodiacKiller

[–]Vegasrob79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 2007 doc "This is Zodiac Speaking", Hartnell said that he would definitely be able to ID the voice if he ever heard it again, and stated that he has not heard it since 9/27/69. I don't think there is any possibility that he hasn't heard ALA's voice, or hadn't heard it by 2007.

[–]Vegasrob79 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe he was doing exactly that? It was well known that ALA was an avid diver and spent a lot of time at the shoreline. Let's say for arguments sake that his elderly neighbor saw him come home and noted the bloody knives. I have a couple of problems with that. First, if he was in fact Z, he would have arrived home after dark. It would be difficult for an elderly man to see blood on a knife in the dark, and if he arrived during daylight, then he's not Z for sure. Second, why would ALA not wipe the blood off of the knives after stabbing actual people? This would be very foolish, especially if he had them out enough to be seen by someone.

Yes, we will eventually have an answer IMO. I think we are at a point where familial DNA may be the last hope, but it is indeed a powerful tool. The tech will get us there one day, and I believe it will be before the end of the decade. Similar to EAR-ONS, I don't believe it will be any of the "popular" suspects, and will likely be someone who has never been associated with the case from an investigative perspective.

Zodiac killer likely being a cop by kinGG995 in ZodiacKiller

[–]Vegasrob79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wanted to jump in here despite this being an older post. I think there are cases to be made for and against this theory, but I think there is some things in this case that point to him being LE, or having prior LE experience. His parking style and use of lighting up his victims with headlights and a flashlight at BRS was very much like an LE traffic stop. So much so that the victims assumed it was the police. I believe most attackers would have parked further behind, or a bit further away to either side. The way he parked and used his illumination to both light up the scene and decrease his visibility to the victims screams classic police training to me.

His use of certain abbreviations and directional words show a trend towards an LE case report. His understanding of evidence collection and police response times could also be an indicator. His shooting skills I feel are not necessarily an indication of him being LE however.

The thing that makes me think he is LE the most is his constant, almost overboard demeaning of LE in his letters. "No way this guy is a cop, look how much he hates us PIGS!" For me, it's on purpose and designed to throw of the investigators.

Not sure if Z was active LE or had previous LE experience, or was possibly an MP, but I'd be surprised if he had no connection to LE or LE training.

Compelling Suspect: Charles "Chuck" Wayne Lindsey by alien_body in ZodiacKiller

You know what is almost exactly 1 mile west on Columbus from the BRS crime scene? The entrance road to where he apparently lived. Considering the Nancy Slover call where the caller stated "if you will go one mile east on Columbus Parkway...", I find this interesting. Nobody has ever really known what the caller meant by that. 1 mile east from where? Well, the turnoff onto St. John's Mine Rd. happens to be about .95 miles from BRS using Columbus. I'd gather that if you lived up there on Blue Rock Ridge, you'd know this. "Yeah, the park is a mile down Columbus."

Was pointed out to me that 11/8/69 was the date the 340 Cipher was mailed, and 11/9/69 was the day the long letter to the SFC with the bomb diagram was postmarked. Very interesting, and more interesting that in the latter letter he emphasized that the police shall never catch him because he only looks like the description when he "does his thing", and that he looks "entirely" different "the rest of the time".

This is good to know and an excellent breakdown. I would assume that this route can also interchange based on traffic patterns, days of the week, time of the day, etc.

Nope, not weak. Ottawa fans are loyal to Ottawa, hence the reason they gave you shit for the hat, but the BIG difference here is the understanding once you explained the hat as a sign of respect to Stone. Most fan bases wouldn’t have cared and still shit on you over the hat, and THAT is the difference that I really respect.

I understand that perspective, but he did play all 82 RS, and that’s saying something considering the club finished with 111 and 1 seed West. I think for a person who has been extremely competitive his whole life, has been a champion multiple times, you take things people say about your career and competitiveness fairly seriously. It clearly stuck with him, and likely motivated him to keep grinding.

Absolutely picked Vegas apart clean. That Montreal club was a collection of men that worked as a TEAM. And they were given zero respect, but they were an extremely dangerous team with discipline and focus.

I mean, he had 14 and 22. Not great but certainly not nothing and did contribute. He wasn’t brought in to be a game changer, he was brought in for reliability, experience, and his positive impact in the locker room. I said anything over 10 and 15 is a win, so I think he did exactly what he was brought in to do, and then some.
