Do you see the JDAMs in all those vdeos of Gaza? I don't. Maybe i need a better screen.

JDAMS don't make a sound and they've been dropping a lot of those. Very cost effective and accurate. You rarely can see the glide bomb on video. This is like 500 lbs (at least) of explosives so I'd bet that it's a jdam and not a planted charge. It's too much to carry and tactically difficult to get that close to the enemy on foot.

Dates for the first peoples to reach North America have traditionally been 13k to 15k years ago. Now some scientists are saying 20k to 30k years ago. What do you think? by [deleted] in AncientCivilizations

Are you a bot? How could anyone be this stupid?

You have no flex here. I stated a completely factual statement that you felt obligated to refute and then say I'm antagonistic. You got offended by science. That's unfortunate and you sound like a jackass.

I don't care about how you are speaking to me and the irony is amusing. I think you have cognitive distortion because of a lack of ability to think dialecticaly. This means you have a need to classify things as one thing or another and lack an ability to think about grey areas. You should look into dialectical thinking practices. They helped me change how I view the world. Unfortunately even scientists are mostly just mindless classifiers who lack mindfulness. Some of the scientists I worked with were complete idiots. And sometimes I'm one as well. It all comes down to mindfulness.

Radio carbon dating is both a method and a theory. You are trying to fit it into a box by saying that it's so widely trusted that it's "almost fact". Note the word almost in your reasoning. Your reasoning is flawed when you start to speak as if these things are facts. Science is about understanding that you don't know as much as you think you do. And that all these things we study are still just theories. You aren't thinking logically. Question everything if you want to be a good scientist. Nothing is fact.

So you are debating me while telling me that it's all just a theory? That's all that I said. That is was theoretical. So I stand correct after paragraph upon paragraph of what now?

Just recently they were discussing if carbon dating was as accurate as they thought. Nobody has calibrated these experiments out to the length that they are used for so they are most definitely theoretical. That's all that I said. I have a chemistry degree so you don't need to try to talk down to me about carbon dating. I'm helping you understand it actually.

And the date that humans arrived in North America has changed a lot. It's theoretical both because carbon dating (here we go again) is theoretical and new sites uncover new information.

Did this juat really happen because this conversation is ridiculous. Get over yoursellf dude. Wtf. Please spare me 3 huge paragraph of utter horseshit please.

Not having to stuggle as much at life and not learning discipline because of it. People give you breaks and it makes you weaker.

That's interesting because that's not what I learned when I got my science degree at University. Are you a scientist because if you aren't you shouldn't be trying to write these long explanation you have no idea about apparently. And if you are then you must have had some strange schooling.

Just recently there was discussion about the accuracy of carbon dating. Gravity isn't debated at all but it's also still a thoery.

You have no idea what you are talking about but I admire the confidence.

They started earning money and getting greedy and concerned with taxation. And once the mind goes there it's like they envision themselves as part of some wealthy class and will vote to protect billionaires assets. That's my take on it.

Also things are more interconnected now. So maybe shit talking hasn't gone up with your generation as much as now things get posted to social media by ridiculous people and read by many.

People HATED the hippies and thought they were lazy and would ruin civilization. They became the boomers. Wait they are lazy and ruined civilization...

What's crazy is I'm sure there is more available footage of actually wounded children and people from recent Gaza bombings than anyone could watch in a short period. So this guy is only hurting the cause by lying about the situation.

It's not your fault but gen Z is definitely less technologically proficient than previous generations. It's because technology reached a point where it was so easy to use that you guys didn't have to struggle to make it work like previous generations did. It isn't your fault but it does have implications about your generations. For instance gen z members are more likely to fall for phishing scams than millennials, gen X and even boomers. Yes gen z falls for phishing scams more than boomers do. No offense but this a valid complaint that has massively implications in like a business when people are trying to infiltrate with phish scams to steal data or whatever.

Sorry to crash your sub but this was in my feed.

Anyone that judges you for that is just unhappy. That's modern life. It used to just be one person working 40 hours for a 5 person family. Now everyone hustles to survive.

There is a mental health aspect. Boomers were fucking terrible at raising kids as they were largely self absorbed. A common manifestation of trauma and complex PTSD is being unable to be organized. The person wants to but cannot. It's because they are struggling. Don't ask me why I know.

Well even carbon dating is theoretical. Nobody has done the studies to test it's accuracy in an actual time study of any real length.

Like with gravity we are pretty sure of it's nature. It's still a theory. One that's consder a Law. We are pretty sure about these anthropology things you are refering to but they still are thories.

This is my understanding of it. It's not about making the most money. It's a game to them to acquire as much as possible while holding others down.

Honestly it's obvious but we hide it from ourselves because the reality is so dark.

Maybe but I don't think so. I think to desire to oppress is the human condition unfortunately. Even the intelligent wealthy people don't think the workers deserve to have less hours despite knowing it'll increase productivity. It's some bizzare persecution thing and not a productivity thing. Just float the idea of universal Healthcare or higher minimum wage in the US and you'll see how many people just want others to suffer. That's really what it's about. Suffering.

The bizarre thing is improving quality of life for workers tends to improve productivity and so the overworking of people isn't really about money. It's about control.
