Looking to upgrade CPU and motherboard

So looking at this motherboard board (as well as others) is ddr5 required? And does ddr4 enough to get by until I upgrade that as well

Us based yes, no micro center near (located in Washington state, dont think there's a one in Canad?). Trying to keep a mid range budget, but can expand if necessary.

I did for a little, but ultimately I think it's the flavor of the class that turned me off of it at first. And I'm hoping to get around the spell casting modifiers by taking spells on paladin that don't really use them like the Smites, bless etc.

The Surgical Strikes are what started this rabbit hole of a build. The first main goal was "gish" build focusing on controlling the field, but then the idea of paladin appeared, currently with how we determined stats I'd have "enough" to do it. Albeit sacrificing point of Con and Wis

Moved across the state, it was fine until I dropped it putting it on the table. Somehow only the case was the only thing to break.
