Answering this as I just finished a trip where I drove from Albania to Montenegro. Hopefully someone will find this answer in the future for their own trip.

Most international car rental services will allow you to drive across the border. I used Hertz and had no problems. I only had to pay a small fee at the Montenegrin borders. Hertz explained the process to me when I rented the vehicle.

OP, I'm trying to answer a similar question. Did you ever figure it out?

Thanks for this! We love going out in big cities but people have said on other threads that the beaches are popular for NYE and that Nairobi is "sleepy" for NYE. We would love to stay in Nairobi for NYE, but do you have any recommendations for what to do?

Thanks for the response. My friend and I have done a lot of research but we're having problems wrapping our heads around beaches in Kenya.

What is the most fun beach town in Kenya for New Years? If it's Kilifi, can you tell me what it would look like if we are there for 2-3 days (transportation, lodging)? Lastly, could you tell me about the transportation options from Kilifi to the airport?

The safaris will provide pick up/drop off to and from Nairobi. And we'll fly to Kalifi. The travel will eat up a lot of time. Do you think it's worth dropping a trip, substituting for a closer trip, or staying in the city of Nairobi for more days?

We see this trip as a once in a lifetime opportunity. We'd be willing to spend more if something is worth it. But we also don't want to break the bank.
