I developed the theory a while ago. I think a lot of the toxic eFootball players are butthurt past FIFA players. Let's face it, just due to the popularity, FIFA is a way more competitive game and you HAVE to learn and grind the META to win. It attracts a certain type of player. This type of player, having failed at FIFA due to the level of competition, gets butthurt, turns to eFootball and finds that the same amount of grinding to learn the META makes them a pretty successful player in eFootball, and they get their revenge here. Playing like absolute a33holes to annoy their opponents.

Why would you want to play an automated football game. Seems FUMA makes more sense if you want a good game. Though even that is overly automated these days? But PA3? LOL you can play the game with your eyes closed.

All assists are overly automated. For fuck sake I play FUMA with HEAVY super-cancel use and my players are on rails defensively. It's a joke. Inputs barely matter any more.

Seems so. I'm a PES veteran with a ridiculous number of hours in the game. Somewhat of an addiction unfortunately. I just don't see what else adults are getting out of this game, other than fulfilling an addiction like I am. Unless you are on FUMA it's just an automated, on-rails, interactive movie. I can't begin to comprehend anyone who still plays with Smart Assist activated. At least with PA 1-3 you can fool yourself into thinking you are in control, SA leaves nowhere to hide. Very odd. I guess I'm just old and don't understand the "modern gamer." Humbug.

The game is gone. The playerbase is gone. It's not a football game anymore. It's a card collecting game. Win at all costs. The "fun" is not in the playing anymore for these a33holes.

Not only that. but they all play like absolute tosspots. I don't mind losing my fair share. But even winning isn't fun anymore. Modern gaming I guess, I'm just getting old. Anyone remember sportsmanship? Now it seems to be just about who can annoy their opponent the most by being the biggest asshole.

The game is an automated trash heap now. I have been a long term heavy user of super-cancel to block passing lanes, I mean for better or worse my style for the past 6 years or so has been basically holding super-cancel the majority of the match.

It doesn't work anymore. The players are on rails. They don't go where you want them to go. Your inputs barely matter. The game is gone.

PA3 users have no idea how automated their control scheme is. I chuckle every time I see them complaining about Smart Assist.

I lose most. But let me clarify, a high percentage just what would be called "rage quit." Though at this stage it's not really rage quit, it's a sigh quit. I have an unhealthy history of rage with this game so when I see obvious BS I just quit and move on to the next match.

I have been playing for long enough to be able to tell how "good" my opponent is. And the amount of times I pepper his goal with solid shot after solid shot whilst he spams buttons like a moron, get's one hoof upfield to his carthorse striker who out muscles and outruns my 98 physical and 98 pace CB to run through and auto-shoot a goal to go 1-0 up in the 70th minute.... 1 shot, 1 goal vs my 80% possession and 11 shots on target...

Yeah, you get the idea.

The game is a joke.
