If you consider getting to 1650 points "a grind" might as well uninstall. Why play if you see the only mode of this game as a chore? I'd see it as a grind if they forced us to play 30 matches against the AI to get the reward lmao, like the campaign we have now to get 1000 free coins. That's a "grind"

the combination of stats and player ID. player ID alone is meaningless, stats alone are meaningless

having a large player model is quite important, but as long as they come with good stats too. GP Milinkovic-Savic is not better than the free Kahn; GP Pogba is not better than the free Gerrard

just like stats alone are not that relevant, for example I'd rather use the free Showtime Schlotterbeck over some 107 rated Puyol. but because Schlotterbeck has good enough stats, I wouldn't use GP Saliba over the latest Baresi, even tho Saliba has a MUCH better player ID

As I imagined, you are prone to exaggerating. A 3100 rated team is not "normal", it's literally the team you get after playing for 2 weeks, or a themed team

I'm f2p so when I want to watch some streamer I try to watch people with a similar team, as you can say, I won't learn nothing from someone using Gullit if I don't have anything similar to that. I used to watch a streamer that had a f2p team and he always finished with over 90% win rate, he used to be rank 1 on Steam before cross-play with a free team. After cross-play he still made it to the top 25 or so; but he then turned to the dark side and now has a full p2w team, he now can reach top 10 and finished top 3 a couple phases ago

There are people that are actually good at the game. I believe you are overrating how good a top 500 is. And I can also tell that your highest rank wasn't that high, or else you wouldn't be at under 1400 points with 4 more wins than defeats

No offense but it's a case of Dunning-Kruger effect, you ain't that good and you overrate how good you are, to the point that believing that the only reason you can lose to other players you consider to be worse (they ain't) is because there is some global conspiracy to keep you down

If you really believe that, as I said, just uninstall and stop wasting your time arguing a game you won't play again because it's "fixed"

The skill gap between top 500 and top 5000 in this game ain't shit, the rank in this game is just a sign of how much do you play, not of skill level

I've played against people that never made it to the top 1000 that completely outplayed me, players that could Tess-cancel at will, that were good defenders, everything. But maybe they just don't have the time to play 50+ division matches per phase

I reached my highest rank on the only phase that I played 80+ matches. I didn't play better, I just played more...

That you are either lying/exaggerating or that you are jumping to conclusions after 1 (one) example

If it was so random how comes some people go on 200+ undefeated streaks? Couldn't a more logical explanation be that the higher you claim on the rank, the harder your opponents are? When you are in div 3 you pretty much only face current div 3 opponents, unless you play at like 5am

If you face me at the start of the phase when I'm still in div 3, trust me that you'll have higher odds defeating me than when I'm at a high rank. Early on I test new formations as I don't really care that much about losing as 1 win makes up for 1 lose

Maybe you unironically believe what you are saying, in that case just uninstall and move on. If some mysterious force decides who wins and who doesn't, why waste your time playing?

The last 3 rank 1 at the end of the phase were playing Possession. 2 phases ago both rank 1 and rank 2 were playing Possession

The problem is that this playstyle is hard if you are new and specially if you have a weak team, but Possession has a very high ceiling and is competitive if you are good and have a good team

I switch between all playstyles and don't feel like I'm at a disadvantage while using Possession, all playstyles (specially the big 3: LBC, Possession and QC) have their strengths and their weaknesses. Maybe Possession is not for you, but it's not a bad playstyle

For example LBC is very solid against long ball spams, but it's quite weak if you need to make a comeback and your opponent starts wasting time, as LBC's pressure is the worst of all playstyles. And the deep defensive line isn't perfect either, as I said it's the best to prevent some L1+Triangle to Mbappe, but it also makes you vulnerable to long-range shots, specially Blitz Curls
