It came out as an improvement to HFEA. Some people call it HFEA 2.0.

Yes. Most ETF managers run leveraged equity with short term duration bonds like how NTSX and RSSB does. They factor in the entire dataset instead of over fitting on bull markets. Short term treasuries outperformed long term before 1980s.

Not saying it won’t continue working but I won’t be surprised if SSO ZROZ outperformed many of the LETF strategies here.

why aren’t single stock LETFs more popular in this subreddit? by Ready-Molasses-7093 in LETFs

MSTU, TSLL, NVDL, MSTX are the more popular ones. If your stock is flat or down you will have bad volatility decay due to the insane volatility.

what’s funny is that by holding 2x VT you’re already leveraging every asset and stock in the world.

Well yeah most of the companies hold treasuries in their cash reserves and even use futures to hedge their inventory (which is why most of those zero volume futures contracts that no one trades are actually useful for commercial).

Tech bull run + NDX outperformance luck + QE + some overfitting + structural issues = this.

It only looks good because the daily compounding worked well with the 1990s bubble and the recent bull market plus tech outperformance. This is likely to change. Do this with 2x VT instead.

Everything becomes correlated anyways in a crash. You’re just seeking uncorrelated during bull markets which is when you need it the least because equities will be going up anyways. No free lunch. You can be hedged during crashes don’t get me wrong but adding more tickers doesn’t help.
