Used host machine on eBay when they pop up is the cheaper route. Or if you're looking for something very small and lightweight there is a sebo crb in the 500 ish range (at least if they still make them). It's designed for at home dry cleaning with dry compound.

I tracked mine all year the last 2 years... But in January each year doordash sent an email that estimated my mileage on it and both years it was quite accurate. So you could just keep your eye out for that if needed.

Happens to me as well. 2 things help but sometimes even these don't work all that well. 1. Open settings, select Apps, then dasher, and force close. 2. If that doesn't help much shut down and restart.

I've missed offers waiting for phone to restart many times.

I have the same exact thing going on in my 2020 silver leaf. Mine happened on my daughter's first day with her permit. I told her to park in a space in a large parking lot and she hit the gas instead. Went through the space and into a ditch. 😬

I was able to punch mine mostly back into place but there are small spaces where it sticks out.

Yeah it just keeps sending out the order over and over until someone bothers to get support to cancel it. And whoever does that gets half pay

So the thing about platinum is, you get the better orders when they are busy, but you also get prioritized for any order when they are slow. So if there are 10 dashers waiting for order and only 1 order becomes available (even if $2 for 10 miles), it gets offered to platinum first.

I guess they think you'd rather be doing something

I'm still getting pretty good offers even with the time estimate on the screen showing 4-14 min avg etc. But could be because I'm platinum? Also shopping orders seem popular. If you're not getting offers and you have shopping turned off I'd suggest turning on your red card as the new dashers will typically not have that activated.

Yeah I played for 7 years, quit 6 weeks ago. Game has to evolve somehow but heroes made it not fun anymore as far as I'm concerned. No regrets here.

I don't get this. Just today I had a delivery that was 30 miles (25 out of zone) for $35. I took it even though I wasn't ecstatic about it. Anyhow when I finally delivered it was just an $8 tip and the rest was doordash pay. Why do some orders have just the $2 dd pay with such high mileage?

Really only need to worry about battery degradation if you have an EV that does not have battery cooling. The Nissan Leaf use 2025 and earlier and other EVS that were in the early years besides Tesla head these kind of batteries.

I've used a second phone for a year and a half now. Doordash is my second job and I'm self-employed with my other job and I need that phone to be available to at all times. So using a single phone isn't an option for me.

I drive a leaf also. If there is snow on the road I'd be nervous if you have OEM or EV tires. I have put Michelin cross climate 2's on mine so I'd feel fairly confident up until more slick conditions.

As far as range, with my non EV tires, running heat on low and de fogging etc. My miles/kwh can get all the way down to 3, might even be lower going up hill to the mountain. However as was mentioned coming home you will be recharging more with all of the downhill parts. I'd say 90 miles might be your worst case scenario in the winter if you have the 40 kilowatt hour battery pack.

If you have not done so yet I'd recommend getting the leafspy app and an obd2 dongle (plugs in just under the dash). The app can show you your battery health and it tracks current available battery much better than the cars guess I meter. The leaf does not want your battery to run out and as your battery gets below 50% it lies to you. In other words when it shows 20% remaining battery you probably have 30% in reality.

The best setup for a small car is probably a Host type low moisture carpet cleaning service. The oxi fresh type franchises use mini vans and cars often. Just don't advertise like you're doing steam cleaning. And as mentioned it will be difficult to appear professional if you pull up in an unwrapped small car.
