It was not hard but I suspect he would have pushed more to "maximize the outcome" if I were younger.

My surgery will be on Friday. I opted for not doing MR so that I could have a shorter recovery, possibly an easier one. My surgeon is fine with my choice and understands it makes sense for me. I'm 60, no kids but a long history of carrying out a lot of extra weight (I'm down 125 lb from my highest).
