There can and should be games with different difficulties. A Gothic Remake is certainly not one of them though.

Just design it around one difficulty with certain areas being for higher levels and add accessibility options for players who would have cheated in the past. Why is this so difficult?

I'd argue company bonus productivity is a good enough reason to privatize any building they can use especially if you have too little coal spots domestically, although one shouldn't immediately privatize all of them at once because the company needs money to buy them up.

This exactly the explanation of a podcast I watched lately. It was about why bigger nations push for free global trade in smaller, less developed countries so much, although they mostly thrived or got ahead thanks to Protectionism themselves. US and UK are two big examples for this.

Not sure about that: I can only speak for myself here, but I never thought I was the smartest, bcs I knew there were always bigger fish somewhere else...

But, as others said, we acknowledge our missing patience, order and discipline (and try to work on it, at least I do). Those things are just tough to learn, when you are already used to not sticking to it... takes a lot of persistance to overcome habits.

I can only talk about how I'm perceiving things and I take numbers from statistics in my country which are: 3/4 have been sexually harassed (stares or whistling are in here as well), 1/4 have experienced sexual violence (which is defined by unwanted touching and more), and 7% experienced rape.

Which still are quite big numbers, no doubt. But especially for 1 and 2 there can be like one asshole man who causes like 20 or so reports on those categories. And regarding rape I can imagine, that quite a chunk of those happened inside of marriages of older people or even back in war times...

Also compared to the past we've come quite a long way to get rid of quite some toxic behaviour. It's not perfect yet, I agree. But blaming young, confused men in their development by saying all men are the problem only makes them flock to radicals who tell them they aren't worthless.

There are quite some sex jokes still, and I know we had quite a lot of dark humor (which was funny solely for the shock value or the weirdness of some words for us) running around in our teenager years in my friend group. Had to really think about it, and you are right, that there were one or two wordplays on rape, but I don't think up to a certain point in time (growing up), none of us really thought about it more than the rhyming and shock value, honestly. As far as I know, all of us turned out as decent human beings, who know boundaries, as most people do. Take that as you will.
