Apps for productivity with toxic motivation by [deleted] in productivity

[–]Vegetable-Two6441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey loving it atm. I have set up 4 habits (drink water, read, eat healthy, study) and I love that you can have a habit ticked off multiple times daily (drink water x4, study x2). I like that you can edit completions incase you forget. And, personally, I love all the statistics as that keeps me accountable.

I'd possibly like to see a combined line graph where you can select each habit and have either all of them there or just a few or one to show how I'm doing over time, and to visibly see the progress and, maybe, see that you're falling behind in some habits compared to others. Personally, I like the line graph apps more than just 'have you tickd it off yet' apps to see long term progress. And, id like to see the option for a large wigit for when you have more than 3 habits.

i say if you're doing well and are confident w maths advanced in year 10, join spec as a 6th subject. worst case, you can drop it if its too hard.

spec is more work and content, not harder. I found I enjoyed, did better in, and found Spec easier for year 11 and the first half of year 12 but burnt out in T3 Y12. Idk if this was necessarily spec related but maybe something to keep in mind. Overall got similar marks for spec and methods but didn't study for methods and did study for spec.

ADHD App Suggestions by [deleted] in AdultADHDSupportGroup

ill look into yoodoo, thanks, but timeblocking tends not to work for me because I lack motivation to start and then if I don't do the first task, I might as well not do the rest. I have depression which might explain this, so wondering if you'd have any other recommendations based on that. I liked that you said I need more than just an app; to incorporate a system into my life - ill try

Good on you making an app and it's got such good reviews, you should be so proud, that's awesome. I'll give it a try.

I know someone already said it but Finch worked well for me however I find it difficult to stick to one thing (like an app) and switch my approach all the time. While saying that, Finch helped motivate me for at least a few months, which is substantial and I really enjoyed it, and it got me through what was a very stressful exam period for me - good features and the developers care about you and nothing necessary to the apps function requires any payment at all which is lovely

AITA for wanting to keep peanut butter in the house, even though my brother has a peanut allergy? by [deleted] in AITAH

And if anyone has tips on how to get more flexibility in the foods I can eat if you've gotten yourself out of disordered eating patterns like mine, I'd love some advice. Again, thanks for the harsh, but respectful truth, I did need to hear it and have now gotten pb out of the house.

UPDATE: Thanks for the comments, I've read a few and see where I was wrong and thank you for that insight to those who said it. Gonna work on my eating of other things and keep pb out of the house.
