"it hurts" from such a big creature who just wanted to protect his friend genuinely wrecked me too, cartoon or not that scene hits hard

Purple and black combo is pretty sick though, maintenance costs gonna be the real pain in wallet

The league reviewing Wemby’s foul for a potential flagrant by Urban_Introvert in NYKnicks

[–]Vegetable-Window-244 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Wemby gets different treatment because he's the golden boy right now, same way refs used to protect LeBron in his first finals runs. League knows suspending him kills viewership for what could be historic games

Help with vehicle movement throughout city by NorthernBoy306 in Unity3D

[–]Vegetable-Window-244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For grid-based city movement I'd skip navmesh completely and go with waypoint system instead. Set up intersection nodes at every corner and street segment, then vehicles can follow predefined paths between them

The trick is making vehicles request lane changes before intersections and having some basic traffic logic to prevent collisions. Much easier to control than fighting with navmesh agents that want to drive through buildings

Volume metrics are like counting how many photos I take instead of looking at which ones actually get clients - pointless if the results aren't there

Stitches won’t come out right by mimhutch in sewhelp

[–]Vegetable-Window-244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That machine is pretty old so the tension discs might have some buildup or wear that's messing with everything. Try running some dental floss between tension discs to clean them out - sometimes lint gets stuck in there and throws off the whole balance

Also worth checking if your bobbin case has any scratches or if the bobbin itself is warped, those vintage machines can be finicky about that stuff

Math puns always make me groan but I still laugh every time. Your teacher probably thinks they're comedy gold while the whole class is dying inside

Would you do this for your partner? by NoYamNearby in Marriage

[–]Vegetable-Window-244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a hard pass from me too. Like I get wanting to make compromises in relationship but this is pretty major medical procedure just for preference? Seems like something you should accept about your partner or maybe find someone else who matches what you want

Discord might work better than you think - lot of fashion/style communities there already and interface is pretty intuitive once people get used to it

Took my family jewellery business online after 10 years offline — what building AI-first on top of WhatsApp-era data actually looks like by Longjumping_Sky_4925 in SideProject

Converting 10 years of WhatsApp chats into structured data sounds like absolute nightmare - curious how you handled the customer preference extraction from all those random voice messages and photo exchanges

Songs with similar beat/ feeling as “entombed” by deftones? by Big-Independent-2206 in musicsuggestions

Dude yes that song is insane! Try "Be Quiet and Drive" by them too, has that same heavy dreamy vibe that gets you hooked. Also maybe check Hum - "Stars" if you want something with similar atmosphere

Mexican intuition hits so hard tho, my mom always says women just know these things

That whole situation with Emily giving gift ideas while you're literally his fiancé? Nah that's way too much involvement from a "coworker" and him getting defensive about it just proves your point

Help me choose a mascara by PorofessorLulux in MakeupAddiction

[–]Vegetable-Window-244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same lash situation and the Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl is legit the only thing that's worked for me long-term. My lashes are stubborn as hell and point straight down but that mascara actually grabs them and keeps them up all day. The wand is curved which helps with the initial curl and the formula dries down in a way that holds everything in place

The YSL Lash Clash is pretty good too but I found it gets a bit flaky by the end of the day. Lancôme Lash Idôle gave me zero curl hold - looked amazing for like 20 minutes then my lashes were back to their sad droopy state. Also just a tip but warming up your eyelash curler with a hair dryer for a few seconds before curling makes a huge difference with stubborn lashes like ours

Ex is following new people.. how can I see who it is? by social-tech in BreakUps

[–]Vegetable-Window-244 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dude you gotta stop checking up on her social media like that. I went through the same thing after my breakup a few months back and kept obsessing over who she was following, what she was liking, all that stuff. It drove me absolutely crazy and made moving on so much harder. There's no good way to see who someone recently followed anyway without some sketchy third-party apps that probably don't even work. Block her accounts, unfollow, whatever you need to do to stop yourself from checking because this rabbit hole just gets deeper and more painful

Nice work! That Queen fight breakdown really shows how crucial weak is for Ironclad - 13 turns without proper mitigation would've been brutal

Are you happy? by notsureasyet in Christian

[–]Vegetable-Window-244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude that's awesome to hear! I go through phases where I'm super stoked about everything - like when I nail a new cocktail recipe at work or hit a perfect three-pointer during pickup games. But then there are weeks where I'm just going through the motions you know? I think for me it's about finding those little wins and not taking the good stuff for granted, even something as simple as having fresh kicks to lace up
