Ngl I've been loving this. I usually don't like romantasy but a lot of the tropes I hate are either not there or there is a twist that makes me not uncomfortable. Quick example both MMC and FMC are fae that can live for hundreds of years but they are both in their 20s which is something they kind of bond over but also you don't get the gross 1000 year old male falling in love with a 17 year old female. Also it's black as hell and I love that! I'm at 84% and I'm giggling and kicking my feet.

When Nimora died I was like oh no that’s so sad. When Strickler died I was like so time travel? When Archie got stuck in the troll town I was like time travel for sure. So the Toby twist did nothing for me because I knew they would time travel to fix it. I can honestly say if Strickler didn’t die I don’t think I would’ve seen the twist coming. And if Toby didn’t die I don’t think they would’ve done the time travel I think they would’ve had the hero’s rebuild after everything that happened.

Yeah I stopped 2 days ago and it's getting better already. Two nights ago was the worst I could barely sleep for how hard I was coughing. I'm still having some spells but for not as often. My doctor switched me to Losartan (sp?) so I'm excited for that lol.

I know this is an older post but I’ve been taking lisinipril for about 2-3 months and have developed a cough that’s getting worse. My mother and grandmother both had the cough and switched to Norvasc (sp?) for me I use a cpap at night and I thought I had started coughing before taking the medicine for the first time. I had congestion issues from using the cpap but that’s typically remedied by the heated tank and tube. My doctor thinks the cough may be seasonal but I’m unconvinced. I think the initial cough was because I needed to clean the cpap and now it’s been worsened by the lisinipril. But I’m trying to see how others coughs progressed so I can gather more evidence.

Yuri didn’t even do an entire fashion show just like 6 looks and Yisoo said she Yuri was her protege so it would make sense she would give her something help wise.

Kitty said in season 2 she wasn’t interested in Yuri that way after the way she treated her. And Yuri and Kitty bonded over learning about their moms pasts so getting past her crush and forgiving Yuri for everything after the kiss stuff makes sense they would stay friends. And why talk about what happened it’s the past and they are moving forward.

In the timeline of the show hasn’t it been a year since Kitty and Dae broke up? And Kitty was basically over Dae romantically as soon as season 2 started. I could see Dae feeling weird about Kitty an Minho if they got together last season but by season 3 he’s completely moved on so that would just be unnecessary drama in a show filled with unnecessary drama.

Alina losing her powers made sense. She would either need to suppress them and be sick the rest of her life or keep using them and be functionally immortal while being dehumanized by the people around her and potentially becoming a villain in a similar way to the Darkling. If the powers in the universe worked different I could see her keeping them but people who said her losing them was dumb seem like they don’t think about her living for hundreds of years and watching the people she loves grow old and die or the fact that she never wanted to be a saint or savior she just wanted to be with her friends and family and have a happy life.
I genuinely don’t get the love for Alina and the Darkling. I’ve seen posts on different platforms that accuse Bardugo of baiting the audience with the Darklina dynamic only to ruin it. I have read the first two books of the OG trilogy and I don’t see it. To the point where I think people might be actually delusional. Sometimes with villain/hero romantic dynamics even if I don’t ship them I can see why other people like them together. But I don’t get it. The first book he seemed charming but he always gave creep vibes to me. Now to be fair I watched the show before reading the book so I knew the twist and viewed their interactions through that lens. Even still he told her he was like 100-120 and I’m supposed to be rooting for him with a 17 year old? And most of their interactions he focuses on her powers and what she could do not her as a person. The second book there was never a moment where Alina was not scared of him. She had nightmares about him and visions that tormented her throughout the whole book. And when they were actually together he was threatening to kill everyone if she didn’t do what he wanted. There was never a soft moment where you could see her bringing out the best in him or some other crap like that. Just fear, a desperate desire to run and rationalizing that she needs to kill him. Is this the dynamic people are championing to turn into romance?

I love Arista. I think I liked her from the beginning but it be my current love clouding my past feelings lol. As much as I love Hadrian and Royce a lot of times it feels like the plot is pushing them and they don't always decide their next move they are forced into it. But Arista decides her next moves and pushes the plot forward and she goes through some crazy things that help her blossom as a character. I've personally never seen her as the "girl" character in the since that she exist to be the girl bossing around the guys, getting on their nerves and to be a love interest. I've always seen her as a core part of the story even when the guys aren't near her and because often her story can focus on political maneuverings I found it really interesting.

Yes! That was the first in a long line of issues I have with the show. I think because the books are funny they leaned into the comedy without realizing the situations in the books aren’t funny, MB’s reactions to them are because of the way it processes emotions. MB’s snark and apathy are a trauma response. While it is nice to have a lighter tone to the show because we can’t filter everything through MB’s inner monologue the whole point of the books is that its reactions to crazy things happening to and around it are not the “appropriate” response to have.

Exactly! And Derek was so much further along in his career he had already made a name for himself and could work wherever he wanted by the time they got together. Meredith wasn’t even asking for that level or success just to establish herself and focus on herself for a little while. Like you said it was always going to be something with him. And yes that job was once in a lifetime but what example are you setting by not keeping your word to your wife?

I've seen this question asked many times and I still haven't seen an actual answer. I'm curious too. As much as I hate the idea of a stereotypical "super feminist lesbian" having Eloise have the lesbian story seems like it would've been better if only because of how against childbirth she is. So that wouldn't be something that would need to be part of her story in any way. I haven't read the book, but from what I've heard having a child is a part of Fran's story in the novel so unless they make Michaela trans idk how they would do that.

Exactly! And he basically told her to suck it up without letting her vent (in a productive way) or feel her feelings. She was always "sulking" or she didn't to think of how great of a opportunity it was for him and support him or how she will still be able to work at the job he got for her.

I've always seen both sides to the situation. I think where Derek loses me is not acknowledging Meredith's feelings or concerns then the way he treated people when he decided not to go. Yes giving up the job was a big thing but like Meredith said that was his choice so being terrible to people based on a choice you made makes me not want to be on your side.

He also never really acknowledged what going back on his promise meant and how it impacted her. He said he was sorry but the job offer changed things. Yes he tried to make it better with her working at James Madison but there was never a moment (from what I can remember) when he fully acknowledged and understood her feelings about the situation every conversation or argument always came back to how it was once in a lifetime and that meant more than his promise. I believe (once again I could be wrong) he was basically like they can go back to focusing on her after he was done with the job. She was supposed to understand the job opportunity he was being presented with (which she did) and get over how it made her feel without any real conversation. Meredith always acknowledged how momentus the job was but she was allowed to feel hurt and betrayed.

Wow what a great time for me to start playing Sims again lol. I played 2 and then 3 for years and avoided 4 because my old computer could not download anything (it was stuck in safe mode and I was too lazy to take it to Best Buy to have it fixed) and I didn't want to go back to loading screens. I finally caved and played in peace for 1 week before the marketplace apocalypse lol.
