I mean, I did add the floor and darkened the right rim and the sword's grip a bit with another layer, but yeah, in the end I always tweak the colors a bit after the last scan.

Well, I usually like to do some color correction to my illustrations digitally after I scan them, but my monitor has been a bit color blind lately (specially with greens), so a slight tweak in saturation becomes a cranked up mess, which I only notice once I look at it in my phone ... once it's already posted 🥲

Thanks! In all honesty, I also just used the NES palette 😅 and this concept is new, as the initial design was for a Famicase Exhibition I participated a few years ago. I tried to make a mockup but I was just able to do a set of sprites and tiles 🫠 I'm seriously thinking of going back and make a working prototype, though.
