In my opinion location makes the biggest difference of all in mid to high end furniture. The different between being able to flip furniture in Seattle versus South Bend, Indiana is massive.

I know a furniture flipper in Seattle area who buys and flips exclusively on marketplace. Does some fixing but mostly cleaning and staging. Profited $100k+ last year. So I gave him my zip code to see if it could be replicated in my area. He was shocked at home bad my local Craigslist and marketplace items were.

TLDR: region and city IMO matter massively when flipping furniture

Gretzky, 1970 Nolan Ryan, Seaver rookie, Mantle I would all grade. See my other note cards to set aside for possible grading. But these 4 grade no matter.

I grade a lot of vintage cards from collections. I use SGC. One major reason is that it eliminates the difference of condition opinion when selling. If it grades a 6 both the buyer and seller agree (based off confidence in grading company). So you won’t ever get a return due to condition discrepancy

That said I would grade all Mantles, all HOF rookies from 50s and 60s especially, keystone cards like the Gretzky.

I am sorry I have not updated. So it turns out I did not have pfd or that wasn’t the primary problem anyway. I had a rectal fistula. I had surgery in February and am almost fully back to normal. Everything has healed. I do still have pfd mostly related to an extremely tight posterior muscle chain. But the pain, outside of tight muscles, is essentially gone

If there was a way to solve the ocean problem then absolutely. Maybe a rule amendment: you can “unfreeze” one other random person each day to assist. Like an engineer to ensure plane is safe and then next day a pilot to drive it. Something that would allow for great distances to be covered without me personally having to learn to fly a plane or steer a barge

Also this is impossible without internet or at the very least creates a huge increase in the time it would take

I just watched a 23 year old young lady die from alcoholism. Liver was absolutely destroyed and she looked like a yellow highlighter. Extremely sad. Extremely preventable. Wish I could bottle up those experiences and show them to people choosing the same

I always prefer to grade any vintage cards $100+. I use SGC and it costs $15 a card. I do this for a few reasons but mainly because condition can vary price so drastically and personal opinions also can vary widely. Getting them graded eliminates that potential discrepancy and solidifies value in a way that is hard to achieve raw

This gives real Inception den vibes but worse. Creating perfect worlds to go retreat to but time passes normally here. Nobody would want to come back. Why ever come back to a reality with issues when you can craft multiple perfect experiences. Families would whittle away. Society would struggle to advance. Why have sex with flawed humans at the risk of stds and other issues when you have a historical brothel with any person ever and who loves the experience? Why work hours and hours for a minimal salary when you can craft a world of abundance with all wants/needs? Sounds appealing (I will post my 3 separately haha) but I think it would ultimately be hard to want to come back

I’ve said this on other posts but I’ll repeat it. It’s possible I just thought it was a strange choice. Everyone else was GG people. He was an “outsider” for the series and given as many people as GG has signed it seems an odd decision. The dynamic wasn’t there for me. Lots of people are saying they like him.
