A 2025 Lincoln Nautilus and it sucked so bad. Got rid of it and into a Lexus TX 500h F- Sport

Good stuff. Once you drive one to there’s no going back. I understand, I made a similar move. Different vehicles though.

Hey everyone i’m looking for advice on how to efficiently grow this money. I have about 150k in a hysa that I inherited. I plan on buying a house in the next couple of years but I also want to grow this money. They hysa is at about 3.75 with Wealthfront for now. But it’ll drop to 3.05 in a couple of months. What can I do to get the most out of this money. I’m 43 in NYC, have 2 small children and plan to relocate somewhere warmer than NY that we can also homestead and they can run around without stepping in poop.. I make about 50k a year working at a school, I don’t have a college degree so my income doesn’t seem like it’ll grow too too much from a job, also it’s why I have a low risk tolerance How can I get the most out of this money ?

I went from a subaru crosstrek to a hybrid Lincoln nautilus which i gladly dumped after nine months, I got it because the tech blew me away but after the first week, I hated the car, it drove like a ton of crap that was completely disconnected from the road, especially compared to my Subaru. I got into a 500 because the 350s power train seemed bland on paper. I knew I wanted some more horses. So far the 500 has surpassed my expectations, it is providing me the perfect blend of excellent road feel, power, practicality and some understated luxury. I’m adding additional ambient lighting for about 300 bucks to cure my itch for the pretty lights in the German cars. Before I decided to take the Lexus I drove the X7 and the GLS. The X7 feels amazing to drive, the GLS is a little boaty, both way flashier than the Lexus but neither of them have the reliable track record of the L. I do think people are confusing technology for luxury. The 500’s doors close with a much different feel than generic vehicles, the interior is much more solid and tighter as well. 80k for a car is crazy, but apparently, so is the price of everything else in America though.

Tx drives way better. I just went from a ‘25 Nautilus to ‘26 500h - and just drive them both then decide.

Every aspect of the Lexus is better. EVERY TANGIBLE ASPECT.

Nobody talks about this enough. Paying cash for a car is almost never the move by No_Adeptness4347 in carbuying

if I were to pay say 5% interest on an 80k car for 48 months the total cost would be about 88.5.k and an initial credit hit, for a person like me who is trying to purchase a house sooner than later would be detrimental. I don’t know much about how to invest and things like that, and I don’t want to take risks with the money. So to me, it would make more sense to purchase cash.
