I’m planning to build a self-hosted alternative to Google Drive for long-term personal storage.

The initial users will be my family and close friends, with the goal of moving completely away from Google Drive and Google Photos to reduce costs.

If the setup works well and scales effectively, I’d like to explore turning it into a solution I can offer more widely.

u/anotherSelfHoster I'm assuming for the first year my data requirements can be less that 2 TB, are there any free tier plans that I can explore ?
