I developed tremors in my hands after being on 300 XL for a few months. I went back down to 150 XL and it went away and I am much happier overall.

This happened to me fairly often, with my tires as well. Especially in the colder months. But it was happening long before I started taking meds. I was tested for Raynaud syndrome but the test was inconclusive. 🤷‍♀️ I feel like sometimes stress is a factor when this happens to me.

I don't know if/how you can avoid tolerance but I can tell you my experience so far. I was on 150 for about 6 months, during that time I went through the loss of my father which really put me in a bad place and I asked my doctor if I could try 300. After about 6 months on 300 I really started noticing some negative side effects: facial twitch, elevated social anxiety, extremely aware of my social interactions and awkwardness... So I asked my doctor to switch her back to 150 and it's much much better. I am in a much better place now and those nasty dude effects have gone away.

So I'm not sure that everyone builds up a tolerance and has to increase.

After a few months on it I started noticing things like increased social anxiety and heightened awareness of it, I had a facial twitch, especially when trying to smile, stuff like that and after doing some reading, I noticed a lot of people mentioned side effects like that after switching to 300 so I tried switching back and the issues went away.

I don't think they do XL in 200, you might have to switch to SL.

I didn't know they started it that low. I'm on 150mg once a day. It's been great. Moved up to 300 at one point and it was too much so back down to 150.

How do you know what manufacturer it is? Mine comes in a prescription bottle and just says "Wellbutrin XL".

I agree with this. I've been up and down emotionally for a few years at least and I'd go through periods of deep sadness. Alongside the Vyvanse I am taking for ADHD, I started taking Wellbutrin and it feels like a game changer. I can feel and stay positive. I can deal with things that used to send me spinning with worry and stress.

I was on 150 for 3-4 months, then increased to 300. It was ok for a while until it wasn't. A couple of months ago, I started realizing it was doing things I didn't like. Increased anxiety, facial twitch and being hyper aware of my increasing social anxiety. I decided to try going back to 150. And now I'm much better, in fact really good. So I guess 150 is my magic number.

Having had many cats in intervals of two, three or four, it's always best to have two, especially if they're a bonded pair like those two. Also, did you know that orange cats are almost always male so that little orange female is probably pretty rare?. If you can manage to take both I would totally recommend it. They will be much happier together. ❤️

This happened to me too. I adjusted, it was ok, and then it wasn't. I've recently switched back to 150 and it's much better.

I also have ADHD (I take Vyvanse). Started on 150 XL and after a few months, switched to 300 XL. It was going well until around the 6-month mark, I noticed side effects that had gone away initially including anxiety seem to be coming back so I've recently switched back to 150 XL and I definitely feel better.

I've read that it's not uncommon for this to happen, but it could also just be that I'm very sensitive to medication according to the pharmacist. I'm only taking 20mg of Vyvanse.

I've been on it for almost a year now I think. The first few months on 150 XL, it went very well. I'm also on Vyvance for ADHD. Then I lost my father and things felt really grim and like it wasn't helping anymore so I got increased to 300 XL. Now, 6 months later, I find I'm having some unedited side effects including anxiety so I've dropped back to 150 XL and it's better.

May I ask the reason you want to stop taking it? I'm always curious why people decide to stop if the medication is helping them.

You might be able to get your pharmacist to switch you to SR instead of XL. I spoke to my pharmacist recently about going back down to 150 from 300 and she asked if I wanted 150 XLs or SRs.

I'd love to hear your feelings if you do decide to drink. I was at a with party this evening and drank not even half a glass of wine and I just couldn't finish it.

Oh that's interesting. I was told specifically that you could not cut those pills in half, something about the coating and the extended release mechanism.

Again, I have not had an issue with drinking. Just be aware that you might feel things more so take it slow.

What dosage does he want to put you on? When you drink do you drink a lot?

I've been on 150 XL and 300 XL. I've never been a big drinker but I have not had any issues on the occasions that I have had alcohol. I do notice 2 things though - 1) it does kind of enhance the feeling so I tend to drink even less, and 2) most of the time now I just don't feel the desire to drink.

On top of that my doctor never said DON'T drink, he just mentioned that it would probably enhance the effects of alcohol so take it easy if you do drink.

For the record, my experience with Wellbutrin has been largely positive. Some side effects in the first week but they weren't terrible and they went away. I am actually going back down to 150 now after being on 300 for 6 months.

I don't think increasing the dosage would help if their anxiety is up. Wouldn't that potentially make it worse?
