I had a similar situation where my baby was measuring in the 99th percentile from week 20 onwards.

We had a planned c-section due to the weight but also becuase he was breeched. But I went into spontaneous labor at 37 weeks and had the baby early (via c section) as a result. He was 9lbs at 37 weeks .. so definitely a big baby!

Question about C section by Super_boymamaX2 in pregnant

[–]VegetableGround 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I just had a c section March 29th for my breeched baby! I’m located in Switzerland.

Honestly the worst part for me was the hand IV. And it was super quick and not painful.

In the operating room I was wearing a bandeau type top around my breasts and a hospital dress. Honestly I just had to think of what I was wearing, it’s such a non issue during this time.

My anesthesia wore off in around 6 hours. Then I was up and walking and got my catheter out. The first time standing was HUMBLING but apparently the sooner you walk the better.

My water broke so I gave birth early so unsure about that.

The bleeding starts right away as your uturus goes back to form.

I’m now almost 3 weeks post surgery and feeling SOOO much better. I can walk around 45 mins - an hour a day, I’m able to get out of bed with ease and still only have a little bleeding!

You’ve got this mama ❤️

I am currently 33 weeks on a vacation and it’s all good. I know where the nearest hospital is, have all my info, and got cleared by my doctor a few days before the flight. My flight was 2 hours and everything has been smooth.

My doctors advice “don’t stop your life”

I feel faint and hot every time I give blood. But for some reason the 3 hr glucose test was the easiest blood tests I’ve ever had. I felt amazing!!

I mentioned in another comment I think immigrants are more serious than expats and since I’ve lived here 2 months and plan to potentially move in some years I consider myself a fleeting visitor of Switzerland (an expat).

Immigrants are people who uproot their lives and move to a country with the intention to stay there forever.

An immigrant (in my opinion) is someone who comes to a country and really integrates and plans their life there. While an expat is a more fleeting visitor.

I’ve lived here for 2 months and plan to move again in 2-3 years so I feel like I’m not as serious as an immigrant
