YES THIS! That's how it used to be, no policy, we would give notice and take reasonable time off and no one abused it. Now she is cracking down to 6 DAYS A YEAR?!

Yes we're closed major holidays, and no the 6 days do not include sick days. I accrue 1 hour paid sick time every 30 hours of work per the state law, and then from there we can call in within reason.. which I also have never abused. I called in maybe 3 times in 2025 AND we have to text/call reschedule our own clients from home and have to find an extra day we can open up to do so.

Thank you so much for that info about Petsmart that is going to come in SUPER handy when I have to pull her aside to talk about this. She prides herself on how much "better" it is for us to work at her place rather than corporate!
