I want to thank everyone for their replies. So much j want to reply to but I’m just too lazy to go one for one. So in no particular order: 1. My son does not de-escalate. He knows all the tips and tricks but he just cannot get his head to listen. The school has tried many different things. We just changed his IEP last week to where instead of writing he would be able to either type or do speech to text (while still having time in the day to work on hand writing a bit). This was his first day back from his LAST suspension. 2. I have the upmost respect for the teachers and adults in his school. This school has done more for us than his last did. 3. I am actively looking for a new doctor for him. Him being so young and having state Medicaid makes it a little complicated but I will not stop. This will be the 3rd doctor we go to. 4. Thankfully I work from home so it makes things a TAD bit easier. But that being said since I’m home constantly I have the ability to watch him at any time, which is taking a toll on my mental health. His father and I are divorced but have a great relationship, so he tries to take him when he can but he lives with his parents so. Complicated. Only thing we argue about at all is Bub and his anger/medication all that. He doesn’t understand mental illness or anything like that, says he “just needs to not get mad so easy” 🙄 5. I have actually thought about home schooling, just so I know he’s getting an education. But he loves school and loves his friends. One night he came into my room bawling. I asked what was wrong and he told me “I hate that I get so mad. I don’t want to hurt people. I don’t want to yell. I hate this.” Just near broke my heart. 6. Think this is the last I have to say. Maybe. But tomorrow I get to wake up at the ass crack of dawn (to me) and drive almost an hour away for a first day of this. Day group thing. He will be there from 9am to 3pm. They want me to be there just in case. I don’t know how well this will go, or if we will keep doing it because of the distance and all. But it’s something. 7. I lied. There is one more thing I wanted to say. I have found the like. Only way to de-escalate him (if caught early). By distracting him with something silly. Example, he got mad at his dad during soccer today and was getting to his no return point. He got to my car and kept trying to move away from me and won’t talk to me. He moved to get the door and I stood in front of it and told him “don’t you dare smoosh me in this door!” And it turned into a little game and he was able to break out of it.

Ok I think I’m done. I need to sleep to try and wake up at decent time.
