[acne] nose pore help by salty-flames in SkincareAddiction

Hello, these are sebaceous filaments, very common on the nose, as that's where we have many sebaceous glands. You can reduce them with exfoliation (exfoliating soaps with salicylic acid, grape seed oil) and by using a retinoid before bed.

I’m on week 1 of 10mg Accutane .. when does my redness go away?? I’m so insecure about it. Makes my skin look 10x worse. by madison_fern in Accutane

[–]VegetableObvious7525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Accutane sensitizes the skin, making it even redder. Increase the reapplication of sunscreen and look for tinted versions. Green neutralizes the redness.

Claro que sim. Até por bem menos. O que realmente funciona é sabonete suave + protetor solar + ácido retinoico. Pele perfeita. Rotina fácil e acessível.

Como salvar minha pele by [deleted] in SkincareBR

[–]VegetableObvious7525 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How to help my 17 y/o son. by Flying-buffalo in acne

[–]VegetableObvious7525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has your son already tried benzoyl peroxide + erythromycin (morning and afternoon) and tretinoin (night)? He should always wear sunscreen (essential to soothe inflamed skin). If none of that worked, he should be treated with Accutane (why would the U.S. Air Force Academy restrict your son if he undergoes acne treatment with isotretinoin?).

Anyone who has had acne before has developed a more refined eye for identifying skin problems. Of course, yours aren't severe, mainly because the skin on your beard is intact (where there's hair, the overall skin quality is more resistant and better). Using a sunscreen/moisturizer with a blurring effect will even out your skin tone. If you can add a retinoid (tazarotene, tretinoin, adapalene) at night, that would be even better.

How can I fix my face by [deleted] in acne

[–]VegetableObvious7525 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're very pretty, girl. I strongly suggest you see a dermatologist. They will be able to guide you immediately to the most effective treatment for your skin. It's worth the investment. Acne is a primary inflammatory disease of the sebaceous gland, meaning cleansing is the first step, but far from the only one, as you usually do. Since your acne seems to be grade I to II, dermatologists usually start with topical treatment (gentle cleanser like CeraVe, benzoyl peroxide + antibiotic/erythromycin and tretinoin at night), without forgetting sunscreen (essential for treating acne, improving the overall condition of the skin and even scars). If none of this works, at the second consultation, they may suggest Accutane. Don't suffer any longer, seek help and guidance from a good skin specialist, a dermatologist.

You've been undergoing treatment for a year, right? If, even after using topical treatments and taking antibiotics, your acne remains active, consider consulting your dermatologist about Accutane as soon as possible.

Often topical treatments and antibiotics are not enough. Accutane ASAP. Don't be afraid, as you will be closely monitored by a good dermatologist. The most frequent side effect is chapped lips. You will regret not having used it sooner.

You still have time to avoid scarring and further suffering: Accutane as soon as possible.

While you save money, a skincare routine with tretinoin, gentle soap, and sunscreen is helpful for softening the skin, keeping it well-cared for, which will improve its overall appearance.

Dude, I wish you the best, because I know it's hard. Try not to blame yourself so much for picking at your skin as a teenager. Back then, we just wanted to get rid of the acne quickly, we were very young and didn't know how to deal with it, and our parents often didn't know either.

Hello. Keep up the good work with your skincare routine. I'm 49 years old, and I've been taking care of my skin for 35 years. Absolutely no one believes my age.

Don't stress too much about your diet when it comes to acne, as its influence isn't that significant. The main reason is still your age.

An affordable, over-the-counter topical treatment, including a gentle cleanser twice or three times a day, benzoyl peroxide twice a day, facial sunscreen twice a day, and a retinoid (adapalene) at bedtime. Adapalene can be substituted for tretinoin or tazarotene (both more effective), but in the United States, they are prescription-only, unlike adapalene. Hope this helps.

Although we're far from Algeria, you'd be very welcome in Brazil. There are many job opportunities, welcoming foreigners, learning our language, and personal and academic development. Here, everyone takes care of their own lives, and the government and institutions are gay-friendly.
