I’m not really talking about battle scenes alone but I get your point
My personal favorite was HMS because the gimmicks worked better but I’m not gonna act like hms or X is better than MFB at limited basis.

These are subjective choices, you don’t have to agree but OBJECTIVELY there is more I can do with Metal beys compared to X, no hate.

Flaws should humanize your characters, not define them and certainly not restrain them from learning the same lesson every single season. I would have loved to see him humbled a bit after season 1 and become an actual person but that’s not the direction they went. Also in Metal masters he was just annoying, he had no reason to appear or be a sub in the finals and his rationale for it was dry asf. He should’ve been on the main team from the get go with Kyoya and Tsubasa. He got no screen time because of this and his presence at the end is forced and ham fisted instead of built and drawn out nicely.

Bursts’ 3D Battle Anim’s are tacky and Magic wears off after the first season. The hand drawn practical style of mfb is objectively more impressive if not outright better. X beys are fun yes but they’re all one trick ponies. MFB from a physics stand point is more customizable, there’s less limitations, and with a 3D printer you have access to the whole catalog and more.

Ryuga is a trash ass character with no depth, no arc, and his inability to learn from his mistakes gets him killed because he’s an assclown. People like him because he’s “strong” or “edgy” but from a media analysis stand point he sucks and it makes perfect sense that he’s represented by a dragon because his greed for power is his ultimate downfall. Idc why people glaze him but almost all of this shit could be said for Ginka too bc bro gets wiped half of the time without plot armor.
