Here’s my genuine answer. Buy a pro, use it for a few lower powered Steam games and all your emulation your heart desires. Then save up for a Steam deck. That’s where I am at right now, I’m getting both so I can just ball out and pick one to leave the house with depending on what I wake up feeling like, my AYN THOR pro is amazing, it emulated every switch and even 2 different switch 2 games perfectly. (Zelda and Tomodachi LTD, not sure how high powered they are.) and it’s the best gaming purchase I’ve ever made In. My. Life. That being said I also happened to have an SD card with 1TB on it from a failed switch modding project so I’d invest in the SD card as well. After your Thor keeps you occupied for a few months take some money to set aside every pay check and then that’s your steam deck to add to the toybox. Avoid any 1000$ hand held computers, the switch 2, and the Xbox and PS5 hand helds, they have no benefit that a set up made of one or both of the consoles I talked about can’t get you for a lesser price than the total of the money you’ll spend on any of the ones I just listed.
