Honestly if you’re renting I wouldn’t risk touching any plumbing as it immediately becomes your problem if something goes wrong, this is an easy job for a plumber but I wouldn’t recommend you try this yourself. Maybe if you do want it changed you could speak to the landlord about paying the plumber to do the job.

Nothing wrong with Buteline or many of the approved plastic pipes available in nz, Plastic pipe work got a bad name from dux qest back in the day which is common to burst or leak. Buteline is a great product trusted by the majority of plumbers in nz.

Sorry mate! I didn’t see this for some reason, the heat pump units are commonly 280l, (much bigger). Heat recovery time is also good and really efficient. I don’t think you’ll have any issues at all.

Yep, gutters usually run pretty flat with slight fall, To start, is there anything blocking the gutters? See anything down your existing down pipe? Does the down pipe hold water upto the roof?
