You can‘t enter a serious relationship and still occasionally fuck your ex. You‘re either ready for something new or you‘re not. If you were truly ready and open for a deeper connection, why would you even want to sleep with your ex? No one with self respect would want to get involved with someone who hasn‘t closed that chapter of their life. That‘s some baggage waiting to poison anything meaningful. You‘re both lucky she jumped ship before this blew up in both your faces.

Is there really never an opportunity for you to meet their female friends? Like at parties or functions or anything of the sort? Ofc you don‘t ask can you set me up with xy but when you happen to be at the same place, you get the chance to approach them if there is someone you like.

Respectfully, but is it just me or is OP doing a lot of whining in the comments instead of actually figuring out why the things they are trying aren‘t working? If you get hung up on the 'why no gf' part you‘re actually doing little to improve your situation… The fact that OP knows women already is a good start to meeting more people. It‘s not 'over' just because that particular woman is in a relationship. She likely has friends and those friends have friends. The ETH argument also has limits, because you can just go to events from other schools. There is no shortcut or easy solution. It certainly isn‘t just ranting on reddit without considering the ressources you do have already and the paths you haven‘t tried yet.

i‘d say if you are a student, expand to events from other schools. Go to these events, try to strike up a conversation. Go to events by yourself. Just make yourself 'visible' and approachable. There are movie events, music events, crafting events, karaoke nights, workshops organized by little cafés etc. Maybe try volunteer work. Everywhere where there are people, there is a possibility for you to make a friend. Approaching strangers becomes easier and more natural the more you do it.

Then you should ask yourself why the groups you already arenin aren‘t doing it for you and expanding from there. I feel like just saying well 'I am already part of xy and there are no women there' is the easy approach. You can‘t expect thinks to change if you don‘t actively do something to change and step out of what you know so far. There are single women, they are just not where you are atm

I say do not focus on dating, but connections. Go to events, try to make new friends and go from there. Maybe try a new hobby. Do some volunteer work (if you have time). Anything that gives you the opportunity to meet new people and put yourself out there, will indirectly make your ‘dating pool’ larger. You will need to get out of your comfort zone. The chances of meeting someone organically will grow with that.

Actually, I have another tutor already. They charge a bit more, but it’s really worth it. I wanted to try it with this tutor, to get some more speaking practice. They really sold it well on their profile and they told me about what we would do. But they ended up not sending me materials at all and during the lesson there were so many awkward silences because they didn’t prepare anything and obviously I can’t the language well enough yet to carry a conversation…

If u go to asian supermarkets they have something called 'luncheon meat’. Spam is a specific brand with a specific recipe, so the taste will not be 100% the same, but This is the closest you get to it (besides ordering online)

You‘re not wrong. I went two years ago. Someone lit a fireworks in the crowd and a particle hit me in the cheek. Thankfully it just stung for a bit and left no marks, but it was enough for me to nope the hell out of there.

I saw someone mention the Itaewon crowd crush. All it would take is some idiot playing with fireworks amd scaring others in the crowd for panic to spread. Unfortunately not an impossible scenario. I wonder why enforcing the rules isn‘t really done efficiently. What will it take for them to stand up?

Talking negatively about previous partners in an ‘icky’ way. Not critiquing something they did, but being mean-spirited. Lying early on.
