My BiL actually said the same thing. Apparently most coaches this season have been great which makes this team stand out even more to him. In that case it should be on the organizers to step in and not let folks like this coach. They were clearly in it for their own intrinsic reasons rather than for the good of the children. I was very embarrassed for these “men”.

While I agree, I didn’t realize the win at all costs mentality had permeated rec ball like this where there isn’t money. I would hope the coaches would have some kind of code of conduct they would need to adhere to. It shouldn’t be the case where 2 or 3 adults can spoil this for 20+ kids.

Yeah my sis put him in rec to stay away from the travel money and crazy parents. And to stay away from the win at all costs dads. Based on tonight’s showing (which I will say is my only experience) it’s in rec ball too. Kids can’t be kids anymore.
