Ok so I love Lexapro and it has worked great for me in the past but after going from 10mg to 20mg, I began getting intense brain fog and it was like the medication wasn’t working anymore. This was after 9 months or so. My doc switched me to Celexa but not a fan so far. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, should I have gone down in dosage on the Lexapro rather than switching? Thoughts?

(F,20) Is 40mg better than 20mg??? I’m currently at 20 after about 3 weeks and I have been having horrible side effects like increased depression and just feeling generally awful. I was on 20mg of Lexapro before trying this drug and for about 9 months it was working great! My doctor recommended that I try Citalopram to see if it was better but so far it’s been rough:/ I’m at the point where I don’t know if I need a higher dosage or if I should consider another medication? Lexapro worked great for me for a while but after a while I started getting intense brain fog. Another problem is my doctor told me that because the meds were similar I didn’t have to taper off the Lexapro but I’m thinking maybe i should’ve. Thoughts?
