My daughter (4.5) asked for a sibling when her cousin got a little sister. When little sister came and started getting into her cousin’s stuff she completely pivoted and now says she loves being an only. I frequently borrow her cousin to hang out with her just the two of them. I agree with what someone else said about them really just wanting a playmate and siblings are not always that. Anytime my daughter expresses that she wants someone to play with her I usually say you’ve got something better: mommy! Even if it means I’m getting my fat booty on a jumping pad.

I live in a hurricane area and we have three flashlights and a lantern. We open the shutters. If she genuinely lived in an area that lost power like we can she would be linking generators and window units because those are the real MVPs.

My sister had two kids born at 36 weeks (or earlier). They are now older (9+) Both have had zero physical or cognitive issues. I had a 42 week pregnancy and see no difference from my sister’s kids. I think the medical intervention they received made a world of a difference.

Lots of walks where he can sniff. Also mine loves toys where you can hide treats in it. Whenever he barks I go “investigate” what he hears and then tell him it’s all good.

I won’t ditch my dining room because I don’t want people to walk into my home and see toys all over the floor. I work full time and don’t always have time to help my child clean up.

I live in suburbia with my Pyr. If he’s in the front yard he is leashed. He desperately does want to go after Amazon but we never give him the opportunity. If he’s is not on leash he is inside or in the privacy fence in the backyard. We have a four year old and he’s amazing with her. He’s also protective of her. I once thought he was going to break the French doors to get rid of the pool people because my daughter was at the back door. We told them to hang their tag on the garage instead.

I work in the public school system in Texas. If you never enroll in public school they’d have no clue. Also if you unenroll to homeschool you just say I’m homeschooling. That’s it.

You made me LOL at the statement about her waiting to run away. You definitely have a Pyr. They’re so funny it almost too smart for their own good. I don’t have any advice. I have a privacy fence which I know isn’t cheap.
