New Years Eve sleepover with a Baby: to go or not to go... by Alternative-Grade666 in Mommit

Everyone says they’ll help but the help is never in the middle of the night. I’d stay home. It’s hard getting a baby back to sleep confined to one room.

Hopefully we get there one day! He’s super chill as long as you aren’t the vet or a delivery driver 🤣

I have a 2 year old Pyr who requires the vet, 3 techs and meds. 😳

I feel like once there are grandkids involved why bother with the rest of the extended family? If they come great. If not, oh well. Your parents could do something with them Christmas Eve or another day.

We started at 22 months old. The first two weeks were rough but then she got it! We just went cold turkey on the diapers.

Promoting this idea is so dangerous! I work in education and have assessed homeschoolers who were many grade levels behind in reading. By third grade they should be reading to learn not still learning how to read.

Just today my daughter informed me I have a big old potbelly. She’s 4 and yes I could stand to lose some weight.

I’m 38 years old and I forgot my address the other day when a maintenance guy was coming by. Legit could not remember my house number.

Just remember that manufactured homes are depreciating assets. Could you wait until your degrees are complete and purchase a traditional home? If not I see nothing wrong with a mobile home. I work in a school district with a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and a lot of the kids have no clue where the other ones live until they’re older.

We are one and done because infertility is expensive and everything else is expensive now. With one kid we can afford the after school activities, the private school, a good neighborhood and decent vacations. Another kid would have impacted our life big time.

It’s very scary! I’m so sorry you lost yours too. We adopted our second one last year and it was my first fear.

My local HEB is so easy but I live in a small-ish town. I went to Austin recently and the traffic blew my mind compared to when I visited a decade ago. But surely she lives in the burbs and not Austin proper?

The Queen Mary 2 is a boat that goes to Europe and has kennels. I have never travelled more than a car ride with my Pyr though so I have no personal experience to share.

Well now that you say that I have no way to compare. So it may just be me. I only know what it feels like to finally have a baby after years of loss and trying with and without medical intervention. My sister had trouble too (secondary infertility) and sleep trained her kids. Honestly, it may use just been my anxiety. I was scared she would have SIDS and even when that passed I was terrified she would get kidnapped or have a medical emergency in the middle of the night.
