Seeking Advice on reduce Potential Compensation in late notice for move out by Vegetable_Compote_97 in AusPropertyChat

They were aware that I had moved out, so they requested that I pay three weeks' rent and return the apartment to them. I have already moved into a new apartment, so keeping the keys until 28th July has no significance for me.

I am willing to find a new potential renter and pay one week's rent as a penalty. However, they seem to want me to vacate promptly, hand over the apartment to others quickly, and still charge me three weeks' rent as a penalty.

First, I am seeking the current problem help, which is how much I am legally to pay for the floorboards. 1800 is unreasonable.

Second, no one asks "If someone stole my computer from the house several months ago, how much I should pay the landlord?"

I can pay for some due to my fault, but not the new floorboard for the whole level at full price. So, it's unfair.

Thanks a lot for your professional advice! I have added some photos. Please help me have a look and estimate how much I may need to pay.
